Then I guess you are the one with the short memory on gas prices? Not sure why you called out others.

Because if there is any "wowza!" in this thread, it is that gas prices are 50 cents/gallon lower, now, than they were summer of 2022 (in Oregon, at least).

$4.99 at Costco near San Diego on Saturday coming across from Arizona in our old 2003 Avalon. We are getting 28.5 MPG in that car. But we ate cheap lunch at Costco and had the strawberry soft serve ice cream, which was delish.

When was the last time we had to wait in a half-hour (or more ) line for gas? 50 years ago -- The 70's.

People have such short memories.

I remember it, and I was not old enough to drive.

Going on vacation out of California really does feel like a vacation especially when I paid just about $4.00 a gallon for gas instead of almost $6.00. We drove all over New Mexico and Colorado and felt the freedom of not being held hostage by the gas prices.

$2.99 for regular, $3.29 for midgrade (what I use) as of this morning here in northern Delaware. Fortunately my truck has been sitting in the driveway for the most part as we've been driving my wife's Tesla almost exclusively. Just took a road trip for a weekend getaway this past weekend up to the Pocono mountains - roughly 350 miles round trip, spent $18.36 for supercharging while there. Certainly better than the roughly $45.00 we would have spent on gas in comparison to her old Honda Accord, or if we had taken my truck, about $70.00 worth of gas.

I can feel your pain. We at one time own a diesel vehicle, when diesel fuel was cheaper than gasoline. The diesel driving range was about 540 miles on a full tank of diesel fuel. Now, diesel fuel costs in our area is more than the cost of regular gasoline.

We are now driving a Honda CRV, that is averaging 36 miles per gallon on the highway and 30 miles per gallon in town.

$3.49 for 85 octane Regular . Why Colorado still has it who knows as 85 who knows no one else seems to , Nebraska/Iowa/Minnesota

And in my part of Maryland, I was pleased that this week gas dropped to around $3.39 from about $3.59 in the last 2 weeks.

Down to $3.15 this week, under $3.10 if paying in cash at many stations.

Our Kroger was $2.89 on Monday. Yesterday it had dropped to $2.69. DH thinks they’ve switched to the winter blend, which is cheaper than summer.

Gas prices are down a bit but all the vehicles were running low yesterday and I needed to fill one gas can to winterize a riding lawn mower. I went to Costco and the cost was about $280 to fill these up. That was a wowza moment.

I'm not even go try to explain the grocery trip into Costco to pick up a few steaks and sockeye.

I was working at a Safeway Store about 20 miles from my house at the time of the gas problems so I bought a motorcycle to make sure I'd have a way to make it to work. We were on the even/odd license plate to be able to get gas,
