We are former owners at Grand Villas Resort, formerly Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (Phase II).

Much as we liked Cypress Pointe Phase I, we liked Cypress Pointe Phase II even more (mainly because of elevators in all the condo buildings -- no walk-ups).

All ownership was floating weeks -- Diamond Season (premium weeks) & Emerald Season (the other weeks).

We took an "owner update" sales tour of Phase II while we were staying our 1st time at Phase I. After we got home, we looked for Cypress Pointe Phase II on eBay, found it, & sniped in a winning bid (less than we paid resale for Phase I) for what turned out to be unit B36A10B. We kept that for several years & enjoyed the resort very much.

Full Disclosure: Now that we are hard core sr. citz. (in our mid-80s), we have shed all our timeshare ownership except the bare minimum -- a 1BR triennial points unit out in Las Vegas. That does not generate enough points for much of an exchange into anybody else's timeshare, so we increasingly rely on low-cost alternatives like Last Call & Bonus Week reservations, & more recently on discounted reservations through Armed Forces Vacation Club. So far, so good.

It's 2 blocks from Disney property and it's Disney World, not Disneyland.

Have loved using Armed Forces Vacation Club since we left Diamond Resorts in early 2024.

It's 2 blocks from Disney property and it's Disney World, not Disneyland.
When we were owners there, advertising our own time in our owned unit in order to rent it out, we described the location as 1 mile from Disney World.

That's literally true but possibly misleading, in that the entrance located a mile from Cypress Pointe opens into the end of Hotel Plaza Boulevard rather than directly into the middle of the WDW complex.

Regardless, Cypress Point Resort & Grand Villas Resort (also Blue Tree Resort) are very conveniently located for all practical purposes.

Full Disclosure: During our 1st few years as owners at Cypress Pointe (Phase I & Phase II), we were successful in renting out own own paid-for time in our own units without too much effort. Plus, we collected enough money from renters to cover our maintenance fees, with enough left over to pay for our own Last Call & Bonus Week timeshare reservations -- practically like vacationing for free. But over the years, getting renters took longer and the difference between rent money coming in and maintenance fee money going out got smaller, to the point that renting our our own timeshares was no longer worth the trouble. So we sold off or gave away or deeded back all our timeshares except the bare minimum, which we still enjoy. Life is good.
