Interval has a special right now for a basic 3.year membership at $99usd (total for the 3 years)

Can that be used to extend a current membership?

As SmithOp stated earlier, II has one resort in Lombardy (see screen capture below) which is available for cash rentals only but nothing is available online at the moment. Some resorts may not offer cash rentals year round.

I don't think so. Everyone I know who renewed at that price did so after letting their membership expire. However, you can always try to call in and get that deal.

I think Diamond member now must pay II directly for their membership.

Correct. It is DEX that is now included with "The Club" fees. However there is still a corporate agreement in place concerning # of points per type of room, season etc.

Really? A whole lot of Diamond shows up in RCI, I guess I thought they traded with RCI.

What we have pieced together on TUG based on reports:

As DEX currently operates, it is connected to RCI on the back end. RCI properties are often available in DEX. If you book the RCI inventory (not that it is labeled RCI) in DEX, then it results in more Diamond/HGV inventory being bulk deposited in RCI.

As I understand DEX (I do not have an account) you can’t set up an ongoing search (OGS) that would put you first in line when inventory is deposited. That probably keeps the OP from being able to get what is wanted in RCI inventory through DEX.
