I joined Tug about the same time you did. I have received literally thousands of dollars worth of great advice, and made friends I have never met in person.

It is disappointing to me that Tug does have so many more combative posters and total know it alls then there used to be. The personal attacks have gotten way out of control. I don’t spend near the time I use to on Tug neither reading nor posting.

Compared to other forums, we are down right friendly. Yes there is a few combative personalities amoung us, but honestly it is not as bad as other places. IMHO

Who has changed their TUG name?

I changed mine (it was Tugshare02). When I registered in 2001, I was new to Bulletin Boards. I did not realize that my username would show up. I thought there would be another entry for my nickname. So when we registered this time, I picked another name. I did check however to see if anyone else had that name by searching the older boards for a post. I also have NJDave on TStips so I wanted the name to be the same.

I think NJDave works well. As a former DaveNW when I lived in Washington, and now DaveNV since I'm in Nevada, I think we're both onto something. :D

Before DaveNW I was JeepGuyNW and then BMWguyNW, both for similar reasons. I think that's all the Tug names I've used.

As the saying goes, "If I was any more beside myself, I'd be twins." :D

I am going to go back to the beginning to read this.

Same name/combo of mine and DH since 2001.

I think I need to resurrect the "Cat Turkey Brining" thread this Thanksgiving.

I live part time in Florida now. Maybe I should change my username to NJ/FLDave?

Did you just add the "Member since 2001" tag. How do you do that?

she configured that as her signature.

noone here would have anything earlier than 2005ish under their username on the left side as that was when we migrated the forum software and it did not allow us to pull in older dates like that from the previous forum software.

More like quintuplets, lol.

I have two user names at tug. My original is still active in other areas of Tug but no longer in the forum. I had to change my user name on the tug forum because in my life as a general contractor I was involved in other contractor specific forums which dealt with issues like warranty claims. The companies we used always honored their warranties with us because we were highly certified in every aspect needed to be part of their approved vendors programs. We also received awards from some of these companies. On the contractor forums, other contractors would google my user name to find me at Tug and other forums so I either changed my name or started new accounts to be rid of these guys.

So in a way, I am my own twin at Tug, lol.

Thanks. I added "TUG member since 2001" as my signature.
