Did a TUGger 'win' this Monday ebay Cape Cod 1BR ?

I also bid on this ebay auction. But the price got too high for me. I stayed at the Sea Mist Resort last summer and would have liked to have won this auction. But I have my limits what I can pay.

It is not on the beach. Who would want it?

Oh---I think a lot of people would want it.
The fact that there were several bidders backs that up.

Not many timeshares on Cape Cod are on the beach---
but people still love "The Cape"!!

Pat

I stayed there last summer and loved the pool area. The grounds are nice and each unit had its own patio.

Mashpee is a stepping stone to all Cape Cod attractions.

Watched it but didn't bid. I was afraid it was a converted motel.

So I"m wondering how that Summer Cape week was posted on eBay a few weeks back and got NO bids. I don't get it.

I know the one you mean. It was being sold by the notorious WantedWeeks.com. I wonder if it didn't check out after due diligence?

Sorry, I am not following....this seller was shares3000...

?

We're talking about a different week, not the one at Sea Mist that you started the thread with, but another eBay week.

I think it was at Cape Winds and it was a week 30 that was up for $1, but no one bid on it, and it was relisted and no one bid the second time either. That week was offered by WantedWeeks.com.

Just to let you all know I just one the ebay auction for week 36 at Sea Mist.

For some reason nobody bid for a week and I put my bid in for $1.00 all closing costs included.

I do not understand as the previous auction went for $1425.00 for a August week32. That was a 1 bedroom apt style unit upper floor. I got a 2 floor townhouse unit with a walk-out patio.

I am very pleased, hopefully everything will work out. I had called the resort today and confirmed all the information.

Cape Cod is primarily a summer destination (plus a couple of Fall foliage weeks in October). Week 36 on the Cape is considered off-season. True, it includes Labor Day weekend many years but a lot of schools are back in session by then, or about to start that week, thus families with children are not likely to choose this time for vacation. Many beaches, restaurants, and tourist attractions close for the season around Labor Day.

September is often rainy and cold, and is also within the prime hurricane season.

Unfortunately it's not a great trader either. There are numerous Cape Cod September weeks available as "Last Call" or Getaway weeks through RCI and I.I. for a couple of hundred dollars--far less than the maintenance fees owners' pay.

There are many nature lovers who enjoy the Cape after the summer crowds are gone. And the weather can be delightful. You just can't count on it.

On the other hand, Week 32 is a very prime week. Besides being a very popular summer beach vacation destination, there's some sort of annual biking event (not motorcycles--"real" bicycles) that takes place the first days of the weekend. This makes it a high demand rental or trader if you cannot use it yourself one year.

But if you can use the week 36 yourself, lots of people like the Cape that time of year. The worst of the crowds are gone and it's usually still warm and pleasant.

I agree..if you don't have kids with you..and want to enjoy a vacation with kids back in school..weeks 35/36 which usually include Labor Day are great times to vacation. We have week 35 in Ocean City and LOVE it..the town calms down, traffic so much better, beach is quiet, the no reservations needed for dinner.
Its almost the best time of the year..
ENJOY your win..I had many summer vacation that rained or very humid weather...it is what it is. but its still VACATION
