I am in the process of buying a CWA account (282k) and was wondering if later I wanted to add another CWA account can those two accounts be merged so I would only have one account that I am charged a program fee on? That way I could pick up another resale account but lower my overall yearly cost.

I asked that same question in a post, the answer i got is they are shown as two different accounts

But , don't take my word casue it's only what i heard not experienced myself yet

Multiple contracts will combine in a single account. If for some reason Wyndham creates a second account with the second purchase, the accounts can be merged upon request.

I believe what you were told before is that different contracts deeded at different locations (or deeded vs. CWA), although combined in the same account, will not combine at 13 months for ARP, only at 10 months for the standard booking period. In this OP’s case, not only would the two contracts be combined in one account, if they were both CWA they would also combine at 13 months for ARP.

Basically you aren’t buying an account, you are buying a contract. The contract you purchased will appear under your current account once it has been transferred.

Your correct on that.

That is good to know they will combine.

How will that work if they have different maint fees ? That don't equal the same per 1000 points ?

I understand terminology may have been off slightly, but to confirm since both contracts would be CWA, there is still only one program fee charged correct?

Good point... Words matter...... Yes the way I was saying accounts I meant contracts

Even if they are both the same locations , etc... .my understanding is they still show as 2 different contracts but as your points stack your over all get the lower program fee ?

Am I understanding that right ?

The program fee is charged based upon the total number of points in your account (can be a total of multiple contracts). If that total doesn’t reach the prescribed minimum, your account will be charged a minimum program fee. Above that minimum, it’s a rate per 1,000 on your total points. And whether they’re CWA or deeded points doesn’t make a difference with regard to the program fee.

I have two CWA contracts. One is resale and one is developer. It sure would be sweet if they put them into one developer contract, but I'm not holding my breath.

So the more points you have , the less program fee you pay over all ?

How many points in developer do you have ?

Would the PIC program be worth it for you ?

No. The rate is .58 per 1,000 points if resale, or .60 if retail. The rate won’t increase as you add points, but the total program fee will.

However, there is a minimum program fee of $135 if resale, $155 if retail, so if you have a small account you’re going to pay a disproportionately high program fee. For instance, if you had a resale account with 84,000 points in it, .58*84 is $48.72, but that doesn’t meet the minimum - that owner will pay a program fee of $135 annually.

The question I saw that wasn’t answered

What about maintenance fees?

Each contract will be listed in your account with the fees. Just add them up and that’s the total you will pay

If you want to know your overall rate ($/1000points). Add up the fees for each contract to get your total fees then add up all your points and divide by 1000 then divide dollars by points (thousands)
