Craig Lodge (CL) Qs: Good purchase price(s)? Room for Negotiation? Better time of year to buy (for better deals)? Weeks changes (? Error or real)?

(Will) Have enough resale HGV points (soon), so in no rush to add but would like to add CL at an efficient entry point, hence the asks

Craig Lodge Purchase Qs:
? Good Purchase price for Platinum 1 BR, 2 BR?
? Room for Negotiation with owners/Andrew at HGV Craig resale office
(Realize demand/supply and currency exchange rates etc influences pricing and modest changes, in big picture, but we are tuggers, why pay 33% more (even if that is GBP 500 for 1.5k-2k GBP purchase)
Have seen folks post 1 BR for 1,500 GBP & 2 BR Platinum for 3k GBP within last year.
Currently 1 BR were all >2k GBP asking & 2 BR Platinum > 4k GBP asking
Is there a better time of the year, when purchase prices better more efficient?

Also, many posts re updates to CL weeks in DEX but in HGV Resale FB group, folks posted that this may have been mistake (as their weeks are listed as Peak season in HGV but somehow listed as High season (= lower trading value) in DEX and many had reported to DEX who were looking into it (which may mean nothing with their useless CS). Thoughts/input from Gurus here?

I would look at the guides to see the weeks and try to get one that is Peak season. The end of each year is probably the best time to buy. Right now most have paid their MFs but if you wait until about June or so, there may be some defaults that you can grab. The last ones that we bought, they were from HGV, not another owner so they were probably weeks that had defaulted and Craig took them back.

You can make an offer to Andrew. He will take it back to the owner and ask them. If it is a HGV owned week, then they will decide.

For the new guide, we will see what they send back out. The issue with the new guide is that the 2025 weeks didn't match the 2025 weeks from last year's guide. Those should match but 2026 can change. If you look at 2024, 2025, and 2026, they can change a bit.

For price, the 1 bed plat are about 2k and the 2 bed plat are about 4. They have gone up a bit but not too much. If you can find a good deal, then it would be a good time to buy since the dollar is stronger against the pound right now.
