Hello, Based on this webpage. https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinations.com/us/en/club-benefits/vip-by-wyndham

down below VIP Extras It reads as though Bronze/Silver and Gold/Platinum/Founders level owners can have Platinum / Diamond status respectively in Wyndham Rewards.

Has anyone done this? do you recall the process in making the connection between the two accounts?

If you were successful, did you try to connect to Caesars as well to get that status match?

Trying to figure out how it works. Based on my searches Club Wyndham's site doesn't say how to do it, Wyndham Rewards doesn't say how to do it, Caesars does say how to link, and it's pretty straight forward.

Thanks in advance.

There’s a fee associated with points conversion. You receive 400 Rewards points for 1000 time share points, not a great trade but good if you don’t think you can use all your points in a given year. For more information go to: https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinat...resources/wyndham-rewards-conversions-program. Bonus for Platinum and Founders if converted before the use year.
Stuck at gold. Converted some points I knew I couldn’t use this year. Never really book and pay for a hotel reservation when I can use my points so I’ll probably never get past gold. Points continue to accrue when paying MF with the Barclays credit card. Haven’t looked into Caesar’s because it’s not on my radar. I would prefer to stay at one of the resorts if I go to Las Vegas.

This post is not relevant to your question. Go to the Ceasars site and request status match to your VIP level. Takes about 2 weeks to be accepted.

I understand how to gain the status at Caesars, but the way I read the Club Wyndham page, you have to get the status at Wyndham rewards (hotel) first ( via what?)

I don't see this as a points transfer but a mutual status level because I'm Founders in Club Wyndham, I can get Diamond Level at Wyndham reward and then I can get the Caesars status.

Click on the link you already posted - then click on the wording for that benefit in the VIP chart - it's a clickable link that will take you to the website login screen - and then to the webpage to allow you to apply for the WR VIP status match. Easy peasy.

HitchHiker, Thats where it all falls apart for me. It brings me to a account creation screen and i can create an account, but nothing ties the Club Wyndham to the Wyndham Rewards.

I'm confused - what account are you creating? The assumption here is that you already have both a Club Wyndham online account, and a Wyndham Rewards online account. If you don't have both of these already - then you're going to have to create online accounts first and ensure that both of the accounts are working beforehand.

Hitchhiker, first thanks for being patient with me on this

We have are Founders level and have an online ClubWyndham account

We created a Wyndham Rewards account some time ago (Jan 2023)

When I click that link that is inbedded in the pop up on the Club Wyndham page when click the small question markit takes me to whyndhamrewards.com…. Of which there is nothing about Club Wyndham just the benefits of Wyndham rewards

The other link (first one) takes me to a file not found 404 site.

I’ll try and do some cut and paste to show you in a bit

@woj027, try this page:

On that page, there's a featured link for me that says "Claim your GOLD" for Wyndham Rewards - I assume it knows my (lack of) VIP level, and that yours should be something like "Claim your Diamond." Click through (you'll need to be logged in I think), then click through again to Wyndham Rewards ("Claim your [level] status today"), and that should be where you can complete the information to upgrade your WR status.

You will need to create a Caesars Rewards account to get the matching status there. Visit www.caesars.com/wyndham and click on :

Pax, that did it, sort of. That link (after I signed in AGAIN) got me gold status at WR, but I'm making progress to the Diamond that I think I should be getting.

That I have done. I'm trying to get the matching status at Wydham Rewards because I'm a Founder at Club Wyndham. Pax's link helped me get to gold, Link page on Wyndham Rewards asked for Club Wyndham account number - First time I've seen that option - which is what I've been looking for, a way to link the two accounts.

No don't use that link - that's only for non-VIP owners. Use this link:

Here's what you should see:

Then scroll down and click on the link for VIPG:

1683127220247.png

That will take you to the following WR webpage:

Click the Sign-In button and login using your WR credentials, after which you'll see this webpage:

Enter your Club Wyndham Member Number (not your WR member number) in the box, and click the Claim Diamond button.

as an aside, I hate having to log in to Club Wyndham every time i click on one of the links in this post, because then I have to search for that page within club wyndham because logging in redirects to the home page.....

That's odd - link works fine for me. Try a different device/browser and see if you can get it to work. I'm using a Chrome desktop browser currently, but it also works on my iPhone mobile Chrome browser.

again to everyone, thanks for all advice and help here. not sure why this is challenging. I was able to get to the Gold Status in Wyndham Rewards, but I think I should be diamond status. and then with Diamond Status I hope to get Platinum Status at Caesars.

It's very weird that it would put that on a page available to all owners and not customize it for VIP owners to get their correct level. The website certainly doesn't allow me to click through on links intended only for VIPs (it usually redirects me to some page higher up in the hierarchy), so it definitely knows who's visiting as long as we're logged in. I just assumed it knew well enough that I only deserved Gold, but that other owners would see what they qualified for. However, I did just notice that on the same page below that does seem to be the VIP link (but not explicitly described as that, just "Unlock member levels and benefits").

When I click on the VIP links for Wyndham Rewards, I get the 404 as well - but I would expect that (or actually, I would expect the typical redirect) for a non-VIP.

If you are VIPG or higher then you are entitled to a WR Diamond status match.

well I'm pretty confident I'm a Founder... why the links don't work.... I'll be calling them shortly...

More trials and tribulations for me.
I chatted on the Wyndham Rewards website and they said that I had to call Wyndham Vacation Owners at 1-866-812-9825 (which is Vacation Sidekick or Travel Up - I forgot what they said when they answered and confuse the 2 all the time)..
I called that number and they didn't know. put me on hold ,came back and said I need to go to club wyndham site go to Owners Guide. then click on VIP Exclusives. which doesn't exist.....

I finally got an answer. Called PR line (should have done that first)

He said to to go to this site. And it worked!!!

There you go! Sorry, didn't think to post that separate link as well within the WR website - when I was posting screenshots - I could have saved you some time. Either way - done and done!

I have been doing this for years. I am Diamond on Wyndham Rewards, got the match years ago through the Club Wyndham website. And have been doing the Caesars match to Diamond Total Rewards.

This year, when I try to do the Caesars status match, it's never taking. I'm still at Gold and have tried 3 times. I have seen others complain online about it, and some people say you have to call Wyndham Rewards to have them do something to make it work. This is aggravating to me, the process is obviously broke.

Basically if you are Diamond in WR, you are entitled to Diamond in Caesars...

IME this is because you're trying to come into Caesars using a matched WR status. Per the following screenshot - if your WR account is not an actual earned status and is elevated because of another tier matching program - it will not process correctly. This change was implemented last year. Perhaps there might be a way for WR to make a change to bypass this limitation as you indicate - I haven't bothered calling in as we aren't big casino people and therefore seldom take advantage of any casino related program benefits.
