IME this is because you're trying to come into Caesars using a matched WR status. Per the following screenshot - if your WR account is not an actual earned status and is elevated because of another tier matching program - it will not process correctly. This change was implemented last year. Perhaps there might be a way for WR to make a change to bypass this limitation as you indicate - I haven't bothered calling in as we aren't big casino people and therefore seldom take advantage of any casino related program benefits.

Caesars did change the rules this year for status matching from Wyndham. However, many matches have gone through without Wyndham diamond being earned, regardless of what Caesars stated. I as well as many others have been doing the Wyndham Caesars diamond match merry go round since 2019 and again this year, without ever earning Diamond on either. Managed to earn Caesars Platinum in 2019 by spouse and I both playing on the same players card, at which time Golden Nugget in AC would increase their card to next tier, which I then matched that card to Caesars Diamond. Continue to submit the match, may take a few times, but eventually you will get Caesars Diamond. Then to continue next year, match Caesars Diamond after January 2nd back to the downgraded Wyndham to get Diamond, then after Feb 2nd match Wyndham Diamond to get Caesars Diamond again.

I suspect that whether you gain exception may be tied to how active your Caesars account is. We hardly ever go to casinos - whereas in your example you actually earned Caesars Platinum using a players card - that's quite an accomplishment in and of itself - so IMHO Caesars is more likely to approve a higher tier match for a "good customer" with significant account activity as opposed to someone like me who has almost zero activity in comparison. Pure speculation on my part, but it makes logical sense to me at least.

We get to Vegas once a year, don't gamble much, but anything bought at Caesars properties including meals that you show your players card at lets you accumulate points for tier.
We always stay at timeshares in Vegas, usually at least 2 weeks, but have used the comp rooms for a day or 2 before the week condos stays start, so should play some wherever staying to keep the comps coming.
We have gotten good prices on a few junkets to AC, Biloxi, and Laughlin through Caesars as well, but they're few and far between for Buffalo airport.
I'm not really a good customer, in that I don't gamble much when staying at their properties, but I do have some play a couple times per year.
Location may have something to do with it as well, as everyone not residing in the U.S. had their status extended from Jan 2022 to Jan 2023 due to border restrictions.
But was able to rematch to 2024 again this February.
May as well try, nothing to lose.

I don't gamble either, but the Diamond Caesars rewards have fringe benefits like free parking at any of their properties. I use this when in New Orleans.

Caesar’s rewards now lets you transfer 60k Wyndhamm reward points a year. That is worth $600 that you can use for rooms and food at Caesar’s properties
