Very new to the timeshare trading business. We have two back to back weeks this summer with Saturday check in times. First stay is Lawai beach resort. Have not booked airfare yet but it looks like we can get a much cheaper flight from the east coast coming in and out on a Sunday. How hard is it to check in a day later at your resort? Do you end up with the worst room available. Just wondering what peoples experiences have been like when checking a day later. Thank you.
Aloha,
Be sure to let the resort know if you are checking in a day late. On the bright side, you can check in as early in the day as you wish. On the down side, you are likely assigned a room that no one else requested - most likely in the Coral building. Whether that is a problem is a matter of expectations. One advantage of TUG membership is you can read all the reviews.
OTOH, if an owner was unable to make the trip and only informed the resort after late Saturday night after everyone else has checked in, you might get the best room in the house (for more on that story, check the review we posted Date Of Visit - Dec 15, 2001 / Date Of Review - Jan 13, 2002 - BTW the rental was an RCI exchange w/ gift certificate; because of risk of RCI cancelling a reservation subsequently rented, I would never do that again)
