We have 2 units reserved at Elysian Beach for the same week. Right now they are both in my husband's name, but we will have guests in the second unit. Can we check in for both units, or does our guest have to be the one to check in for the second unit?

I would expect that the same person (your husband) would not be allowed to check-in for both since one person cannot occupy two units BUT if you have 2 reservations for the same time then that tells me someone else is on the deed (presumably you) which means you could have the 2nd reservation under your name and not pay a guest fee (because you are also an owner and on the deed). If your hubby is the only owner on the deed then I suggest you check your reservations ASAP as Worldmark only allows as many reservations for the same days as there are owners (2 owners = 2 reservations for the same dates, 1 owner = 1 res under the owner name and any reservation after that for those same dates requires a guest name/guest certificate). I have had reservations cancelled before because of this and sometimes they notify you and other times they do not.

I'll let others chime in about the actual checking in (your husband being able to check into 2 units or not).

Thanks for the info. We are both on the deed, although he must be primary since they put both reservations in my husband's name. We made these back in January and they are both still showing, so I hope that means they haven't been canceled! We now know who will be joining us, so I might as well just put the one unit in our guest's name since we have not used our complimentary guest certificate.

If they are still both showing in your account then they are not cancelled :)

Since you are both on the deed, the # of owners is 2 which means you can have 2 reservations at the same time and they won't be cancelled. But if you add a 3rd during the same dates regardless of which resort you choose then the 3rd would be cancelled.

If it were me, I would call and have owner services put the 2nd reservation under MY name and you would not be charged the guest cert. This is in case for some crazy reason your guest backs out. You might need that guest certificate for later? :)

Are you familiar with the site or do you always call the Vacation Planning Center when you are booking?

I agree with @Hobokie . There is no reason to use a guest cert when both you and your husband will be at check-in.

Thanks for the suggestion about not using the guest cert. Makes sense. I did book these by phone (after waiting on hold forever :( ) but I've done other things online in the past.

And can you review the place once you have been please? I have a visit booked there too, but would like to know some more up to date information than what I was able to find from 2017
