Just looking for help. We are to go to Maui using our star options last week of May 2019, however, my mother in law has been taken into the hospital this past weekend and the doctors have told us it won't be long but she is a fighter so it could a day or it could happen in two weeks. So the main questions:

1. would we lose our star option or would they go back to our account
2. would there be a certain time we would have to use them by
3. would there be a fee

Thanks

I had the same situation before Presidents week with my dad. I called in advance and notified them of the situation. He ended up passing about four days before the trip. We did the funeral and Shivah and they let me re-book for five days instead of eight days no fees and put the leftover points back in my account. They were super nice about it

I don’t think they would give you a problem if you wanted to cancel the whole trip. I don’t remember if it was them or Delta but they just wanted to know the doctor‘s name, hospital, no paperwork. And then when he passed Delta just wanted the funeral home‘ name.
