Canceled reservation - points not showing

Hello! I've tried researching but not sure if I am understanding this correctly with all the weirdness from 2020.

We booked Liberty Place at the end of August using saved points from 2020. We bought cancellation protection. I just canceled that reservation and it shows that the 3150 points were refunded on the cancellation, but my points balance on my dashboard didn't increase/return to what it should be.

I know the offices are closed so it's probably a glitch that can be worked out on Tuesday, but wanted to know if this was a common issue. I was concerned that with the saved points from 2020 this night cause an issue. We wanted to book another room to make sure we use our points this year but I want to make sure I'm using the right points.

It's not common for me. I just cancelled one yesterday and the points were back instantly. Not sure I can recall a delay ever.

Try logging out of your HGVC account and logging back in again. I'm not sure this will work, but worth trying.

That's what I remembered from my previous cancellations. Hopefully I can get it resolved! Thank you!

Thank you! I tried, but still not showing. We had saved points from 2019 into 2020 and I lost track of the ones we've used... so hopefully it's just a weird glitch.

Yes, I have had this happened to me before (but not in several years). In fact, now I keep a spreadsheet to track all of my point usage.

I need to do something like this to help me keep track. Just for fluke things like this... Were you able to get it worked out through customer service?

I've had this happen to me a few times. Your 3,150 saved 2020 points are still there even if they're not showing on your dashboard. In fact if you make a new reservation using at least 3,150 points, you'll see that it will use the "invisible" 3,150 saved 2020 points first before pulling any additional points from 2021 or 2022. At any rate, if it gives you peace of mind then I would wait to talk to CMS when they open tomorrow.
