If you’re doing movie soundtracks, you gotta play The Big Chill.

Cool project, Greg!

Here is an eclectic group of optimistic songs to add to those already mentioned...

Angels Among Us - Alabama
Put a Little Love in Your Heart - DeShannon or Al Green and Annie Lenox
He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother - The Hollies
Count on Me - Bruno Mars
You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen. I like this virtual choir project version.
Child Prodigy cover of Heal the World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6d6Yo3DwVI
A Wink and a Smile - Harry Connick Jr.'s cover from the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack
Surfin' Safari - Beach Boys
Seasons of Love from Rent
Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles
The Lion Sleeps Tonight - best known version is The Tokens. I also like Straight No Chaser's version.
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
Don't Stop Believin - Journey
+1 for My Girl - Temptations

Hello TUGgers,

Just closing the loop on this thread.....we finally stopped playing Bells on or around May 24th (it was a Saturday) and it was some fantastic music and my thanks to TUGgers for their suggestions. At the end, we had played approximately 225 different songs for a total of 14 hours (there were some repeats) and it was fantastic stuff. On the last night, many people in the neighborhood were waiving their cellphone lights — it was fantastic.

If anyone would like the playlist, please send me a PM with your cell phone number and I will send you the link (for some reason, I’ve not been able to email?). I’m sorry that I can’t do a Spotify playlist, but anyone with Apple Music can at least see what we played. Honestly, I think I’m the fortunate beneficiary of an unbelievable playlist, constructed by many dozens of people — ranging from 4 years old (Happy Together/Turtles) to 88 years old (Moonlight Serenade/Glenn Miller). It makes my heart happy!

Thanks again TUGgers, you Rock!

Best,

Greg
