All,

Jonell and I have a nice home in Carlsbad that sits on a canyon, and there are a number of other homes across the canyon and also on an adjacent street. We learned from a friend that they play church bells at 7pm so maybe a week ago, we copied their idea and have begun to do the same.

So each night at 7pm, we play the bells from Notre Dame ringing the Angelus. We then follow with two or three songs that are "soft" and finish with Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman singing "Time to Say Goodbye".

It has turned out to be pretty popular in the neighborhood and we have some people coming out at 7pm and sitting in their driveway to listen to our mini-concert. Our goal is to play until the sun sets so I will be adding an additional song every few days.

Well...I'm worried about running out of song material as I think I have another 30-ish days of lockdown to go....therefore I may need 90-150 songs....

Can TUGgers look at what I've played below and make suggestions that are of similar style? Thank you!

Since a daughter and father duet was just posted on one of the TUG thread I would add The Prayer by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli or the recent One World version where a number of the artists sang from their homes.

Na Leo - It's a Beautiful Day

Some from Arlo Guthrie -

And you can't go wrong with some Fifth Dimension
Up, Up, and Away
Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine In
Never My Love

Jefferson Starship - Miracles
Jimmy Buffet - Son Of A Son Of A Sailor
Leon Russell - Stranger In A Strange Land
The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon
The Rutles - Shangri-La
War - All Day Music
Warren Zevon - Mutineer

If you like Darius Rucker’s cover of Wagon Wheel, check out the original by Old Crow Medicine Show. It’s bluegrass with slide guitar and the like.

For something a little different, listen to Ryan Bingham’s Southside of Heaven. He also does a cover of The Band’s song The Weight. He is in the genre of Americana.

The Folk Rock Band The Avett Brothers has a great tear jerker about family called Murder in the City. It’s letter to his family written from the point of view of someone that leaves the house to work away from home. Very moving.

I thought of this, may not gel with the theme - Barry White's You are the First, My Last, My Everything. It is always a great song.

Here is a snippet from Ally McBeal's episode with Barry White. I have forgotten how much I enjoyed Ally McBeal.
