You don't have to go to Europe to see a piece of the wall. There's a section on display at Westminster College in Fulton, MO.

There's also a large piece at the Newseum in Washington, DC.

What fun. I think the quiz master has a jolly fine sense of humour and was being just a tiny bit naughty with a number of those options. I can't imagine who might be tempted to select "the execution of Bonny and Clyde", "the great Chicago flood", "the Barnum Brothers first plane" or the "Mars Landing" footprint :hysterical:. The "inauguration of the first British Prime Minister" was a bit of a hoot too.

US historical events weren't discussed in British or Australian schools and I'm unfamiliar with a number of the American photos in the quiz. I've never heard of the "Kent Massacre". The "war is hell" helmet graffiti represented an irreverence I associate with the Vietnam war. The Great San Francisco earthquake picture was interesting because I have never seen a picture without flames. The US Civil Rights Movement pic is the one I got wrong. 32/33

. I've never heard of the "Kent Massacre".

I never heard it called that. Around here it's simply referred to as "Kent State." That is another famous and well know photo.

Living relatively close to Kent State and having had friends going there at the time it was a very hard time for me. We had actually gone there the week end before the tragedy to party.

The real sick part was that the four students killed were not demonstrating against the war but were off in the distance walking between classes. I won't provide a link with the story because I'm not going to search it, I've read and heard all I want to of the incident that happened in 1970.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young have a very popular song about the time and event, Four Dead in Ohio.

I got 30 out of 33 too. My grandmother had a Life Magazine photo's book that I used to like to look at and I recognized a bunch of the pre 80's stuff from that.

Also got them all. Yes, I'm a news and history hound. But I also feel old.

As well as the piece in a display case in my den. :D

I also have pieces on display. A friend brought back a baggie full of broken pieces of the concrete and I picked out 6 chips and put them in a small case.

He was supposed to give me a picture of where he took these from but I'm still waiting.

33 out of 33.
The selections available in multiple choice, use of iconic images, and proportionally more recent events made this a bit too easy ... but history is one of my interests too!

Got them all, and I never liked History in school. Now, many things interest me. Probably how poorly in was taught.
Even without choices, I probably would done pretty well. Wouldn'the have gotten Detroit for prohibition, but would have gotten prohibition.
