Well . . . . I gotta say that this is certainly an interesting & thoughtful thread. What I get out of this ( and I hope that any potential purchaser does as well ) is that there exists no one single way to do Marriott timeshare. Not to say that some strong opinions do not exist on both sides of the coin. But ultimately, it is your money to spend in the manner which you feel most comfortable with. I'm not gonna rain on anyone's MVC parade as I'd like to believe that that there's room for all approaches. It's great that folks are weighing in from both sides with thoughts/opinions.
Ultimately, the MVC product sells itself and we owners are simply fence posts which help to define the timeshare territory. It's important that potential purchases see the big picture without dogmatic hubris. It's all about your being satisfied with your destination travel purchase. I guess that the only other point to remember is that just like life Life itself, MVC is not a static entity and it too experiences change and alteration. Despite the present economic/pricing uncertainty, life will indeed move forward for Marriott timeshare and most of us should enjoy the ride.
