Blue green Exit program - All done Yahoo!

Wow! I had an Timbers and a Cottage UDI at one time. I sold them when they were still worth something. I wouldn't see the value in them anymore since we live in Florida now. I miss going to Wisconsin Dells but good memories though,

This post is a perfect example of the scam that exit companies run. The OP mentioned that Wesley Financial wanted $5000 to help them exit. Wesley advertises everywhere, has an A+ BBB rating and many positive reviews. That doesn’t make them a good company. All Wesley would have done is the same exact same deed back that Bluegreen offers to its owners and then keep the thousands of extra dollars paid by the timeshare owner as profit. Wesley, and others, prey on timeshare owners who lack the knowledge of their options. Wesley in particular, is not an ethical company despite what they want one to believe. Just one example of that is when a TUG member replied to a question by a timeshare owner on Wesley’s Facebook page. A timeshare owner asked about their particular resort and the TUG member replied that their resort had a deed back program. What did Wesley do to protect their little scam and keep their potential victims in the dark about their options? They deleted the TUG member’s post and banned him from replying again.

Here is just one excerpt from a complaint at Wesley’s BBB page.

“They charged us $6000.00 and wasted nine months of our time to do something that could have been completed in eight weeks without their services. Wesley is a scam worse then the timeshare industry.”

I live in Florida too

Well that didn't take long! I received an email early this morning from Bluegreen Customer Care. It advised the release of my contract was now complete and an exit packet was attached for my records. That was a total of 15 days start to finish to exit my Bluegreen ownership. Glad to be done with it. It was not cheap, but glad I did it the right way.

Where are you in Florida? I go back and forth between Florida and Dells

Thanks for sharing this.
Especially helpful is the time line, very helpful for people to read about the actual process and how long it takes.

We live in The Villages, almost 6 years now. We love it here. Do you still have your home at CMV?
they even have a timeshare club there!

Yes I have two home at cmv. My daughter and grandsons. And we are pin Sw Florida

Interesting they haven’t contacted you other than the MF bill.

Pinnacle collection calls every now and then but doesn’t leave a message.
I picked up once to try to get them to take it back but they weren’t interested so they can just keep talking to the ignore button if they don’t want it back. I told them eventually they will have it back so bye bye.

We gave one to my daughter’s friend. She didn’t care fur it and stopped paying. She says Bluegreen foreclosed on her.

So Tom, are you totally out of timeshares now?
I am in process of selling my Little Sweden week, but will keep my UDI for another year as it is our only access to bonus time . My daughters in laws like to come up and the kids enjoy being together.
Is your week sold already? If not, I would be interested.

I would like more details too. It’s possible she got a threaten to foreclose letter, because she hadn’t stopped paying that long.

I actually have the payment and am waiting for the deed to sign over the week
that is one of the nicest timeshares and I have probably made 175 exchanges.

the threat is the norm for sure.

im not aware of any actual foreclosure process that would be done in a relatively short time. those are usually measured in months or years.

I HAD a Bluegreen Timeshare with 8000 points (not having the money to buy more points) every other year for about 10 years and worked shiftwork. With that it was very hard for me to get a location I really wanted to stay at or more than a few days. But I could almost always find the same 3 places. So after getting tired of paying the increasing fees every year and not be able to enjoy using the program, I was looking into legally getting out of the program. "Westley" and another group wanted over $5000 to get out. I found this site and heard about the "BG Exit Program". They were awesome! Very friendly, no pressure which I expected. With my dues caught up (a must), I had to pay an additional 18 Months worth of dues, $1,300, sign paperwork & get notarized. Email was sent back confirming my legal exit from the program. Whole process was a little over 2 months. Great Christmas present being out of this. Now that I'm retired, I can go where I want, when I want. I would definitely use them.
Hello willy1962, I've started this process by paying the almost $1400.00 fee in my case but it's been a month now and still have not received the forms yet via secure email how long did it take for you to get forms? Is this normal? Hopefully it goes through soon, any advice would be appreciated.

We have had BG for around 15 years and it worked fine but we don't travel much anymore and our kids don't want it. Out of the blue a company contacted us (Omega Processing) saying they could help us exit and that they were working with Hilton and Bluegreen. They said to exit our 10k points it was going to cost $8,400 and we were going to pay up and did but by the grace of God the charge never went through. I started doing some checking and the Omega website was the landing page with a bunch of corporate speak with no real substance. I search for more info and by chance found this forum and someone suggested Bluegreen's own Exit Program. I went to the website and called and they gave me 3 options and I chose the Relief Program at a cost of $2,137 and I'll get contracts to sign and be done in less than 2 months. Listed below is the website. I can't find the original couple of threads that led me down this path, but I truly thank them for sharing because it saved me over $6,200!

very happy you found tug and avoided throwing away 8000 bucks to a scammer!

be sure to post this review on the TUG google review page linked in my signature to help other owners find TUG in time like you did!

Would be interesting to see a tally of money saved by avoiding Exit scams similar to how you track timeshare contract rescission savings.

id sure love it if every person we saved left a review of TUG on google!

was pretty shocked to see some known upfront fee companies with thousands of 5 star reviews!

sadly for most people that TUG helps, they likely dont want anything to do with timeshares ever again! =D

I just got rid of my 25,000 points. It was actually very simple. I called to let them know my situation and received a price of just under 1.5 times the current annual maintenance fees. I paid in full on the spot and within two weeks they sent my deeds to be signed for return to BlueGreen. Within two days I received all three deeds back with their signature. All done! Much cheaper than any of the 'get out of timeshare' companies which ask for high fees, without any guarantee. Thank you so much for the advice.

Any company contacting you out of the blue promising things for a huge upfront fee, like Omega Processing, is going to be a scam. Congrats for keeping that money in your pocket.

Omega is relatively new with the website being created 1/23/24. I’ve said many times before that these companies are not regulated and anyone can start a timeshare exit company, including criminals. We have come across multiple exit companies with convicted criminals as the operator. Easy money, very little risk and essentially no actual work being performed. There is more risk to these criminals if they decide to steal a box of Girl Scout cookies than it is to literally steal thousands upon thousands of dollars from timeshare owners.

Glad you took the easy way out.
Some scoff at the 1.5 maint fee but it’s a clean getaway!
