Bay Club Destination Xchange

Given the other 2 BRs in Hawaii and specifically Kona, I would get a 4 and 5 Tier, perhaps.

When you click on one of your bay clubs, what happens? This is exactly how we access DEX via Craig.

I see this when I got into HGVC, one for each of my BC weeks and one for the rest of my HGVC account.

Yes, we have that but one for each Craig week like you have for Bay Club. If you choose a Bay Club, you should go to the HGVC version of DEX

It gives me access to the Traditional Weeks US version.

For those who got the email, how do you get the 2 years for 1 offer? Code to enter or call it in? It just looks to charge me the 2 year fee.

I am assuming that DeX is like RCI it is all 7 night exchanges for a slightly lesser exchange fee than RCI charges. I did see off season availability for some places that I am interested in, mostly Embarc resorts, as well as some Non-US resorts.

@Sandy VDH If it is like DEX EU you need to call in the deposit to DEX USA and ensure they apply the 2:1.

If they share the DeX tier chart for Bay Club, would you mind sharing it?

If I find one. I thought I would try a search to see what it costs to trade in, but no inventory seems to be available.

how far out can you see/book?
Can you see/book KBC or P@P or Cabo Azul?
Are you Tier 6 DeX(or difft)?
When/where, do you find poor availability? (curious as some have been excited about availability in DeX & have jumped into CL, excited about possibilities).
Maybe have an offline convo with @CalGalTraveler or @HuskerATL , to see how Bay Club version of DeX is vs DeX EU? Also curious re your experience with their user-friendliness & competence (or lack thereof, like DeX EU)?
TY!

I don't have a week deposited, but I was able to get into search availability. I see Cabo Azul availability all the way through dec 2026.

IMO...DeX was a good addition at a good time for us. After 11 years of HGVC we have been tiring of the same locations. DeX opened up new locations and provided a good reason to keep our ownership.

Just did the offer where I joined Destination Xchange, and the process was very easy. Loads under my Bay Club ownership, however I would have to make a reservation in order to be able to deposit it to get the 2:1 offer

what tier is the BC deposit @Mowogo? I might consider that as an option, I have less than a week left for the bonus 2 for 1 offer.

Last day to do this is today, and I still can't find the BC tiers. Did anyone do this yet?

Does it show in the DEX guide? I assume that it would be in the DEX US Weeks version

And CS doesn't know? They would need to know to deposit your week

They tell me they don't know anything on the HGVC lines, it has to be done via Bay Club. Called Bay Club owner services. They are not available today. Trying another number for DeX directly.

Haven't found anything online. Trying to find the right number.

I don't think that HGVC or Bay club would know. For our Craig weeks, we go through DEX EU and they are the ones to answer questions like this, not HGVC or Craig. It is a DEX decision on the tiers.

There is a DEX US number but I will need to find it. It should be in the DEX US Weeks guide book though. I know last years was in that post that I did about DEX a while back

Try this number from the rules guide

that is what I finally found and called. On the line with them now.

Found the Tier chart. So I was aright in my guess of Tier 4 or 5 for what I own. The tiers also align with Plat and Gold Season at HGVC, so easy to remember. DEX Deposits good for 5 years (from week start date) and travel but be booked and used in that 5 year window. Exchange fees are also better than RCI, it might be worth trying out on the 2 for 1 years and deposits offer that is available. Also access to Embarc is big win.

For CL, they extended the 2:1 offer for many months last year, after launch, so doesn't hurt for others to ask for it..
Bonus week good for 12 mo; regular deposit good for 5 yrs, per Gurus; I did not get bonus week, for my CL deposit this year...

Interesting difference between yours and how ours is shown in the DEX EU guide. Yes, the Embarc access will be nice plus giving you more options with your week. Our 1 bed Plat is a Tier 4, which I don't mind. They did jack up the HVC tiers this year though so all of those went up a tier but the highest tier is 6. Many of the Europe and other overseas are Tier 4 or less...so that is appealing for us. Heck we just exchanged a bonus week into The Cove on Ormond Beach, FL (north of Daytona) and it was an even swap Tier 4 for a Tier 4 but it was a 2 bedroom.

BC is not in the Dex Guide yet, that is why that table looks different. I think it is just must be the internal guide they have for which weeks maps to which dates.

I was just looking at exchange opportunities.

Does this mean Embarc is not available via Dex? So why is the inventory in there otherwise?

"This resort is only available for reservations by our Embarc® members."

Where did you see this?

When you are searching, click on the description of the unit. It brings you to the resort page, and that line in there.
