dammit, i got up to get a drink and they hit a home run to end it!

I knew the Jays were going to loose when Brandon Little went in.

thought i heard somewhere in a previous inning that they didnt have any pitchers left to put in?

brutal.

I take that back they're all awake now. What a game, Dodgers overcame a lot of errors tonight to win. Tomorrow is going to be a tough game. They played two games in one day and tomorrow's temperature is going to be in the 90's. Should cool off when the sun goes down, but the Santa Ana winds will be blowing. Hopefully, blowing towards center field.

Hats off to Will Klein for coming in clutch in those last innings. No more pitchers, Dodgers bullpen was done. Yamamoto volunteered to go in and pitch after a full game in Toronto. When Klein came in he was done for the day. Yamamoto was going in.

Was this the longest World Series game ever?

I was on a flight from San Diego to Everett. They were in extra innings when I boarded. I logged on to internet so I could follow the game in-flight. They were still in extra innings when I landed. I took a ride share from PAE to my abode in Mukilteo, and they were still playing. When I got home, I booted my desktop computer, and they were still playing!! Between innings I poured myself, and it still went on. Finally, after I had consumed most of my drink, Freddy Freeman ended it.

Dodgers and Red Sox went 18 innings in 2018. Max Muncy ended it with a 3 run homer.

That is what it was. As a born Sox-fan, I kept thinking "Muncy", "Muncy", this guy used to do things. Good things. Last night, he looked like a Little Leaguer who needed a pep-talk from his mom. He went 0 - 7 & in the field he made one bonehead play after another. He is now one of the slowest MLB 3rd basemen I have ever seen.

And Kershaw? I don't know when I last saw Kershaw. Seems like a long time ago. He came out looking like a cross between J "The Dude" Lebowski and the mugshot of The Unabomber. They should have let him wear his bowling shirt instead of their uni. You know, Sandy Koufax looked better than Kershaw did.

Lost in it all is that Scherzer looked great from his 1st pitch. They took him out too soon, as usually happens these days.
All-in-all, outside of Ohtani and a few starting pitchers, the Jays look much more impressive than LA does. They may never pitch to Ohtani again, and that may be the smart thing.

Best moment of the game was Ohtani's 2nd HR. They're going on & on "SHOULD they pitch to Ohtani", then going on & on HOW they should pitch to Ohtani. I was going on & on in my head, "Throw 4 fastballs high outside & then reassess." Then the pitcher wound up and GROOVED a nothing special fastball dead-center in the strike zone. BAM! We all cracked up. :ROFLMAO:

You got up to get a drink at 3 AM?
ha, that was written poorly. I was still working and watching the game. Id gotten up out of my chair to get a drink and the game ended before I even got back!

As much as I'm rooting against the Dodgers, I still think it's wonderful to have Ohtani doing what he is doing in these playoffs. He is incredible, and a player that good deserves a premier showcase for his talents. I can dislike the results, while still appreciating his greatness.

Watched the whole thing. A shame the umpire affected the game early on with a late call of the strike that everyone knew was a ball. The jays bats were dead against mediocre pitching. Especially Vladdy. Just did not seem to have e any spark.

Other poor base running plays cost the Jays as well.

Yes, that Ump had a different strike zone size depending on who was at bat. Then on that ball he didnt say anything, as per normal on a ball, and after Daulton started walking to first and Bo who was on first, went to 2nd the Ump called strike. The players were too far from a base and got tagged out which cost the Jays at least one run.

This afternoon on some newspaper site (I read a lot so cant remember which one) I saw this; "Home plate υmpire M. Wegпer has beeп sυspeпded peпdiпg aп iпvestigatioп, after M.L.B officials ideпtified a series of coпtroversial calls dυriпg Game 3 of the World Series". Whatever the decision, it wont help the Jays now.

Looks like the World Series will be won on Canadian soil for the first time in 32 years. :)

Bush league plays by the highest compensated team in baseball this year.

A fabulous game! And we didn’t have to stay up until 3:00 a.m.! 👏👏👏
Yes! One late night was enough! I had a nap yesterday afternoon in case last nights game went late again. I just hope they win the series on Friday night. We leave for Florida early Saturday, and if there is a game 7, we will need to watch it in the motel room, on a dinky TV, just like we did for the 1992 game when we were on our way to Williamsburg, VA.

If this thing goes to 7 we are triple booked and the recording device can only record one. We have plans for a musical event live, the western Canadian football final starts at 4:30, and the game would start at 6. It's going to be a long night.
