Your billing letter should include MFs for all unit types.

I would if someone could send me the budget report. So far my contact hasn't been able to get it.

Crane has one of the most difficult point structures to figure out just by viewing the room types vs. MFs vs. budget report.

It’s quite confusing. When you book a 1 bedroom are you using points or the week? Do you get points with the resale?

Q: Why does the list price for 1 bedroom vary? From 2900-17,000.
Similar to the weeks you have listed under your TUG username (Westin St john, Harborside, Westin Nanea, Sheraton Desert Oasis, Sheraton Vistana Villages and Sheraton Broadway Plantation) resale prices will vary by seller. Some resale prices are unrealistic. Some of these sellers believe timeshares are an investment. Other sellers understand that it's a buyer's market and that in order to get their week sold quicker than the competition, they need to offer the best/compelling price. Some sellers simply want out.

Q: Why does each listing have a separate point value when they are platinum season?

It's similar to your Vistana ownership and how StarOptions are used.

The point chart in post #2 provides the timeframes for the different booking windows at the CRANE.
- HGVC owners have a priority booking window at their home resort to reserve exactly what they own (a full week in unit size/type/season on the designated check-in day for the Crane is Saturday).
- At 9 months you can use points to book at most HGVC resorts within the system (see the reservation rules under the TUG Sticky thread).

Unlike MVC or Vistana (except for Mandatory resorts), with HGVC points are integral to weeks and are conveyed with all sales - direct and resale.

At 9 months you can use points with resale ? Because you cannot do that with Vistana. You do not have staroptions unless it’s a mandatory resort you purchased resale which is none of mine.

I’m not sure. I have yet to stay there. Maybe in 2025 we‘ll stay there.

I have friends that bought 4 weeks at the Crane all from the developer about 10-15 years ago. They are 2 bedrooms I believe but I am not sure. They are getting to an age where they are saying they might not feel like going anymore. They have talked to the resort and The Crane will take back those weeks and allow them to continue to stay there for I think they said 5 years after they give them up. I am trying to convice them they they are likely worth more than what they are being offered but they did not listen to me when they bought them so likely won't now. My hope is she'll let me use one week before they give them back. Even the maintenance fees will be way above what I ever pay though.

Well, we do know that the crown (I was going to say "Queen," but it seems that they have a King now) owns the Swans.

Not sure anyone has rights to the Cranes, though.

I am looking to purchase there as my DH is from Barbados. A sales rep from the resort just contacted me. I wanted to go and stay there on one of those packages but Hilton has been offering me everything else but the crane. On Redweek the prices are pretty high so it’s a shame your friends are not willing to sell it. Is the ROFR at that resort?
