I have been playing for about 5 months now...and today was a 'first' for me.
I guessed STARE .... no letters.
I guessed PINCH....no letters.

I made an incredibly intelligent choice (lucky guess) on my first try and got a critical letter that allowed me to solve it on my second try.
Getting the W was big, of course, but the D was just as important because, with the I and N out of the picture, the D could only fit in the last position and WOULD is the only word that worked.
ARGH! SIX.
