Me too, also considering that I had absolutely zero greens and yellows on my first two tries.Considering the average is 4.9 according to the bot, I’m happy with my four.

A hard fought and very lucky FOUR today. The bot said my fourth word was a very lucky guess picking the correct word out of 14 possibilities. I think there was still some skill narrowing it down but still lucky. I also beat the bot by one.
Well said Harry! Im in the same boat. Im not competing with anyone here. Well, I am competing with my son head to head in a text chat. I enjoy this group because I find it interesting and informative to see how y’all approach the game and the variety of words utilized, many of which would have never occurred to me. Participating here has made me a much better player. Best wishes and good luck to all of you. May we all consistently get TWOs and THREEs and maybe the occasional ONE.Speaking only for myself, I’m not competing with anybody. This is one of the brain games I enjoy while having my morning coffee. I cheer for the rest of you to do well and feel your pain when you don’t. I labor over the hard ones but I never give up. I sometimes resolve them in a few seconds, some take hours with a break to go off and do something else. The last thing I want to do early in the morning is feel like I have to beat somebody at a game. I’m retired. Relaxation is the game for me.
Me too.Also a five...
That is a beautiful scene!
I just want to tell ya'll when I get it super fast, lol! I also play NYT mini with my siblings, and get my butt kicked regularly on that. I have never been a crossword player but my brother (who regularly kicks my butt) talked me into it).I'm just wondering how long you, and others, labor over these tuff ones? Should we all start using an egg timer when we do these? Maybe a MAX of 1 minute per guess? It's really not a fair comparison when one person here says I got it in 2 and another says 3 and majority say 4. Am I thinking correctly? I'd like to see us use a time limit for a few days and then compare where we are after, say, 5 minutes. Thoughts??
