Four today

After guess 1 I thought it was likely the word had at least one more vowel. CLOUD checked for O and U, put the D in a new location. From there it was straightforward.

Four, as well. And the same third word, which should have been correct!
Where to begin the week? How about BEGIN? Meh, got an I out of position. As I perused my keyboard, I thought of TRIAD which added a T and D which also needed homes. Aha! DIVOT. What? It took a minute but I finally got to DITTO.

Four and quick. My selection of the 3rd word came naturally to me as I am a golfer and always going around fixing them.

You and I chose the same third word. :)

... and you too!

... and you too! LOL

Today looks like a par four.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Three today. Can't believe that I am the leader of the pack.

I got a THREE today! I was due!

A birdie for me at 3!

I don't golf, so DIVOT wouldn't come to mind.
My 2nd word gave the T tho in 4th position.
I thought last letter would have to be a Y or the O. I couldn't think of O--TY words.

Congrats to the birdies.

My first six in a long time. Using elimination words right to the end.

Wow! And, phew! Six for me, also.
I was watching one of our kittens BATHE himself and thought that might be a good place to start. Meh. Just an E out of position. GRIEF popped in my head out of nowhere so I tried it. Got the E in the correct spot and added an R. I was already thinking xOxER with either LOWER or POWER taking up a lot of real estate in my brain. I decided to try POWER and my hunch was correct on the O and placement of the R. Problem? There are a whole lot of words with the xOxER pattern; CODER, MOVER, MOWER, COWER, LOVER, LOSER, JOKER, and possibly others. Instead of using elimination words, I decided to just go for it and see what happens. CODER. Nope. LOSER? Nope. I actually took that as a good sign. I’m down to my last shot. JOKER or MOVER? I go with JOKER for the win at the buzzer!
