I like seeing it on the news from other locations! Grew up in MI so I’ve seen enough personally to last me a lifetime. In my area of NC we are in our 3rd year of being snowless which doesn’t upset me at all.

I do love snow! Despite the numerous white-knuckle drives in white outs over the years here in NE O-H-I-O, I still appreciate a good snowstorm! Yesterday there was a lull in the snow, so I decided to drive about 20 minutes to the library since there's nothing better than hunkering down in front of the fireplace with a good book.
Ha! About a mile from home, the winds and snow increased to a mini-blizzard. Visibility was nil and I missed a key turn trying to stay on the road. Made it safely, chose my books and left the library to find the snow had stopped. Made a quick stop to pick up a sweet treat for myself because I totally deserved it!

Any chance it was ice cream? I love ice cream, regardless of temperature and weather conditions. My daughter thinks I’m crazy when I eat it in cold weather. 🍨🍦 😋

I have always hated winter, even as a kid. I can’t stand the cold and I am so tired of white-knuckle drives and shoveling our 4-car driveway. My favourite tree is a palm, and I am sure I was supposed to be a southern belle! 🤣

Now we spend most of the winter in Florida at our mobile home park.Suits me to a tee! ❤️🌴

AFTER 30+ inches of snow I went out to fill the bird station.....alas I went down, backwards and kept putting my arms and legs down and could not get up...could not touch the bottom! After about 15-20 minutes, it started to look grim....no phone, husband out plowing...final push up with all my strength - grabbing bird station rod, I MADE IT UP! Please, please remember, IF DOWN - ROLL TO TUMMY- THEN PUSH UP! Got that from husband who is an old ski instructor! Please, all be safe!!!

Hard pass for me. Growing up in the northern plains with its endless snow and cold, then later living in Colorado for a number of years, I've had my fill of it. Much prefer exactly where I am right now. No bad days.

I'm also old, and snow and ice make it a lot easier to fall, as what happened to the poster above (glad you were able to get up). I don't need that extra risk being around.

It is fun when you area kid, pretty to look at as an adult, but not fun to drive in or to remove from the car and driveway. T
This reminds me of one Caribbean cruise we took where the cruise director was from Chicago. He said that his friends (or was it family?) asked how he could stand the heat. He would say, "At least I'm not shoveling it out of my driveway."

Love where we live on vermont. Snow is just part of experience! Now that we're retired we have no objections to it. We do get away for @ 3 weeks in February to Florida but that's long enough. No desire to live anywhere else.

Love watching the snow from the hot tub. Not so excited when it's time to get out! Brrr

Nope. Nope. Nope.

This is the miserable winter view in my backyard just now... ;)

There was a time when I put the ski racks on the car in about September, and the 'Think SNOW!' bumper stickers, but after decades of driving big trucks in it, and hanging 92# tire chains in the slop, lets just say that my enthusiasm has waned.

We moved to CO to enjoy sunshine and skiing. Previous 35 winters in Minnesota forced us to explore Caribbean while escaping “permafrost”and street parking restrictions for at least two weeks every winter. I LOVE snow though.

While sitting here in Ohio watching the snow fall for most of the day, I’m getting ready for my 28th year of moving to Steamboat Springs for the season. Started out as a part time ski patroller, then pure ski bum, morphed into a part time cashier and have settled into a part time worker in the Ticket Office.

LOVE the mountains and the snow.

Of course after 3 months of it, I top it off with a week in Puerto Vallarta 😎

We got our predicted 1-3 inches. It is beautiful. Everything is closed down because more may be coming, and it is apparently slippery. But when I took my dog out, I heard the sound of silence and hated to make footprints in the snow. The temp is mild with no wind, so actually pretty nice. I have nowhere to go today, so I am loving it.

Ashtabula- eeks. When DH was transferred to Cleveland many moons ago, and we were house hunting he was told the east side was where the lake effect snow belt was. That's how we ended up west of the Cuyahoga!

We love the mountains and snow too! Very grateful for the pimple hill called Boston Mills here where we learned to ski. As you patrol Steamboat, if you come across a rusted Rollei 35mm camera, please let me know. It was "lost" by our son in powder during a college trip there, also many moons ago!

I love looking at it, and sometimes I like walking in it, but I can't say that I would like it 24/7 for months. Our daughter and her family moved to Truckee and they get quite a bit of snow. The first year that we were able to spend significant time with them they had the second snowiest year on record. They had so much snow in the yard that they made a small snow hill and skied down the hill with our granddaughter. I loved the quiet, but I didn't love taking the dog out to pee (she didn't want to go out either and required a walk). The best part of the snow is that it covers up the yard and any work that needs to be done outside, the worst part is that there is copious amounts of mud when it melts.

Growing up with snowy winters; snowmen, snowballs, even shoveling contests = A+
Living in CO for a few yrs and spending 3 day wkends skiing most of the winter = A+
Skiing on it in frigid northern New England = B-
Getting back from Tahoe in a blizzard = F
Driving in it, esp commuting = D but it was pretty cool the time I did a 360 on black ice and then just kept on going. Happened while taking a right off a rotary 200 yds west of Harvard Stadium. End result: "Did that just happen? Cool."
Thinking of shoveling it after age of 40 = C-
Seeing it on the top of a distant mtn once in a while, while driving down the CA coast = B
