Any Update on ETA on Transfer of Resale WorldMark; any ways to expedite this?

Bummer. So you are paying the ongoing mf and the account will still be loaded. Not as good a deal as a TN's listing but not that bad either.

Bill
It's the wait & lack of response for months, while still on the hook for MFs which is the concern...

We went under contract for WM points in March and by August nothing had happened. We called the broker periodically and he said he was checking but there was nothing he could do. Finally in early August I got him to give me the WM phone # and the contract number. I called Wyndham every other day for about 12 days, and each time they said they escalated it and it should come through in a day or two, which never happened. I took notes on who I talked to and what they had said, and finally one of the friendly and sympathetic women got a supervisor for me who seemed appalled by what we had been going through and promised we would have it soon and whatever she did, it worked.

It came through in a few days when I was in Mexico with limited cell service and DH was camping in the Nevada desert but by some miracle we got it done. I'm not sure it would have happened without me persevering.
Will definitely start doing so (& hope I get that sympathetic rep/Sup some day very soon, who takes care of it)..
TY!

Good luck and I hope it works. When I called I was very polite and just calmly explained the situation (which sound just as pathetic and frustrating as it was) and said I hoped they could help me. I didn't get mad or outraged, made sure I used their name and essentially was someone they wanted to help. Everyone I talked to (before and including the supervisor) felt sorry for us hearing the situation, and seemed to genuinely try to help. They put me on hold, called whoever or what department had the paperwork that was the hold up, and really seemed to think that would do the trick. I even asked to call the folks who had the paperwork (or whoever's desk it was sitting on) but that apparently wasn't possible. Thankfully we now have our WM and are using it.

Let us know what happens!

Is this the phone number to call? (? Title services Dept)
TY!

mountainboy, That may be an option but this is what I got from our agent:

You call 1-800-251-8736 Option 2 option 3 Title services ...

You would say you purchased a Worldmark Ownership, and you want to check the status...

Say you're working with XYZ [agent's name] from the [agent company ] to facilitate the transfer...

Seller's Contract # to reference is XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX from [seller's name ] to [buyer's name - us in this case]

That seemed to be what they needed to know. Recommend you call you agent and ask for the phone number and cntract # and see if he/she gives you something like this. If I recall, no one asked for the seller name, just the contract #

Most WM contract sales I have seen make the owner keep the dues current until the transfer is complete. If I'm ever in the market for more credits I will know to avoid your broker. I bought both my contracts via eBay from different brokers and never had to pay dues until after the contract was transferred.

Exactly the point of my post, for buyer beware, for future ones.
Was a total TS newbie at the time; never again.
Tochoa/eBay was highly recommended at TUG forums (& hence I used him) but very disappointed by him & his team, for this.

I've had nothing but good experiences buying from Tochoa. However, as a TS newbie I bought a bad Hilton (HGVC) property that didn't have the value that I was getting from Wyndham and WM, and ended up selling it back to Tochoa. I was initially told that they were buying the timeshare and transferring it to themselves, and months later when I could clearly see it for sale on Ebay, admitted that they were looking for a buyer for me there. Not a big deal because I expected that was what they were going to do from the beginning, but they are not beyond telling a lie. I don't think they are going to rip you off, but if there was a mistake in the paperwork that they submitted, they'll never fess up to the cause of the delay.

I bought from them as I thought they were good (& recommended by many at TUG). Wish they were candid with xfr times in listings, esp with WM, where they have been taking a very long time AND they helped folks, where they could, with xfr's, as that is the whole point of 'paying' them vs picking up a freebie TS from others.
They indicated their team is calling WM every week to f/u: if they truly have called every week for 5 months, then share that with folks on their listing, as I am sure that would also impact who/how many would buy from them. Not nice.
