Any good/successful eBay stories out there??!!

Wow i didn't know there were timeshares you could buy for a $1 on resale that originally cost 10 billion dollars! The original buyers definetly paid to much!

Looks like everyone's math sucks equally here

It .00000001 % have to add 2 more zeroes.

Frank on the timeshare eBay world one must use the force

You must be a jedi master or is it sith lord?

I had excellent Ebay transactions from CJ Timeshares and Sumday vacations. Sumday also sells via their website for very cheap prices.

Sumday Vacations is amazing I have other transactions with them outside of eBay.

:cheer:

Got my refund!

What resort did you buy? I have never heard of ebay sellers doing that, but i suppose anything is possible. I think if she is still responding to you that eventually you will get what you are looking for. If you do a search on my recent past posts you will see a thread that I responded on, where I waited over 9 months for a unit to close from an ebay sale, but it eventually did and everything was fine. I had to bitch several times over several months to get some action, though. Don't give up hope just yet.

So my nightmare with BCS Rentals is finished!! I got my 100% refund today back on my Amex. I'm now researching properties based on all the awesome advice and recommendations of both reputable ebay seller and other brokers that I got from the site

Alexa, to answer your question, it was Vegas Flamingo resort.

I'm glad to hear you got your money back, Joey. That whole group is AWFUL to deal with! I'll be passing through TN later this month, and plan on meeting with my favorite detectives who are investigating timeshare fraud in their neighborhood.

There are some good sellers and great deals out there, so I hope you find exactly what you want. It's a solid plan to stick with the sellers recommended here on TUG.

I saw that posting, and then the re-listing, and was actually considering a bid, but a TUG search dissuaded me.

On a happier note, I just learned that my eBay purchase passed ROFR from Hilton, and I've had great communication, throughout from the seller. At this point, I feel like I've had a positive eBay experience--and this is my first foray into timeshare ownership, so my anxiety level has been high.

I'm so happy my post helped you!! That was why I did it. So happy you have a good experience with your other property!

Not sure if my 40 minute conversation with eBay did anything but since I spoke to them 2 weeks ago, BCS Rentals has not had any active postings!! Maybe they were shutdown/suspended.

I completed a contract last night with Discount Timeshares!! Awesome experience thus far!!

Glad you were able to get your money back. Now you can get a new unit from a more reputable seller on eBay. Best of luck!

One can only hope they get shut down!

Thank you for clearly voicing your concerns, and being firm, when I'm sure you were getting lots of excuses and some blow back. There is so much scamming going on in this business, and victims are too embarrassed to tell others about their bad experiences. I'm sure your posts have helped others. Thank you!

thank you for posting this experience with "Bcs rentals". After reading yours and a few others with the same negative experience, I have cancelled a bid I had on a timeshare, just don't need the headache- no matter how cheap it is, so thank you very much for the warning.

That's great to hear Winslow, I just hope more people do the search as well.
I just saw she reposted the same HGVC 7000 point Flamingo package that she has posted at least 5 times since I "won" that auction.

I have problems with Discount Timeshares, yes I know he is a Tug member, but they are always ridiculously high on their Buy It Now prices and they have exorbitant Reserve prices.

Ok start the stoning!! :bawl:

I have done business with them. I think unlike some of the sellers who get most of their inventory through Mexican trade ins, and other straight out PCC inventory where the owners have paid a lot to make their TS's disappear, most of the higher priced stuff from Discount Timeshares have actual owners ultimately calling the shots on the prices and then of course their closing through Timeshare Closing Services is also on the high side at $599-699 plus any transfer costs. Basically the high prices are from sellers who really aren't ready to sell. Sometimes they come down. Sometimes they don't. You can always send in an offer with the total amount you are willing to pay all in.

Thanks to TUG!

I am a Worldmark owner now for 6 years. Last night on Ebay, I won an auction for a (too good to be true) 24k WM account for $5,375 from BCS RENTALS! it supposedly has 48k in the hole with dues paid until October 2016! A "Katie" from BCS is supposed to contact me on Monday to get my info and payment information. After reading the thread about Redweeks4less / IA Vacations / VP title I realize these guys were going to try and part me with my hard earned money. A question for the group of experts here is IF you were in my shoes, how would you go about setting these clowns up for Ebay fraud and/or a visit to the local jail? What type of questions should I ask of them to entrap them? Sting them along? Thanks! John

John I don't know how they are still allowed to post. I'm yet to read about a successful close. I opened an iC3.gov ticket and also reported several of her new auctions to eBay that were identical to past auctions, including the one I won and didn't exist. I feel eBay cares more about their seller fees than integrity. I've read at least a dozen or more people who say they complained to eBay, so I don't know what more has to be done. Make sure you leave loud, negative feedback. I've been getting so many private messages thanking me about my BCS posts and then the say they are going to leave negative feedback yet I never see it. The bite has to be as big as the bark to make an impact.

I asked this "Katie" of BCS Rentals today for an Estoppel letter and what she sent me was something anyone could have put out in a few minutes. Additionally, Katie quote: "We use our in-house title company, TS Title, for all of our transfers. Their address is 101 East Main Street, Sevierville TN 37862".(end quote). Strange statement since it is "in house" but she says "their address is". A search of this address on google gets you a link from the BBB to IA Vacations that has an "F" rating. If you search "redweeks4less" OR, "IA Vacations" on TUG, you get a bunch of forum postings from people who had negative, possibly fraudulent exposure to those companies. I even wrote an email today to the Sevierville police asking if they had any complaints about BCS Rentals. No response as of yet. I am supposed to cough up $6100 dollars tomorrow otherwise, Katie will "relist the 24k WM account". I tried to leave a feedback on Ebay but since I have not completed my purchase, I cannot leave a feedback. It is becuase of TUG and posters like you that have saved myself and hopefully, many others in the future from being ripped off! Thank you!!!

Sorry, but if I were you, I would not send them a dime. I won two auctions on eBay that I thought were great deals. Trying to do due diligence, I asked for, and got estoppels that were totally bogus. They dragged out the closing with so many excuses that made it impossible to challenge the purchase with my credit card company and eBay. I did get to know the local police and state attorney general, though, who were very helpful. :D I would NEVER recommend doing business with this group.

My email to Katie of BCS Rentals

Katie,
This is my one and only notice to inform you that I am going to rescind my offer to purchase your 24k Worldmark timeshare from your company, BCS Rentals, due to the fact that there is too many claims of fraud reported against your company via TUG (Timeshare User Group) forums and your very questionable Ebay record. Today, you provided an address for TS title that you claim is "in house". Searching this address that you provided came up a BBB description of “IA Vacations” with an “F” rating. On the TUG forums, IA Vacations is associated with another company that has supposedly defrauded many people called “Redweeks4less”. Please note that I have forwarded all my information to Ebay, Sevierville police chief Don Myers, Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery III.

Pam,

The Estoppel Katie sent me today by BCS Rentals did not appear authentic and looked NOTHING like the other Estoppels I have seen when purchasing Worldmark accounts. That plus what I also read on the TUG forum and also finding that the address that she gave me for TS title was associated with IA VACATIONS/REDWEEKS4LESS.

I purchased my four timeshares (1 deeded, 1 quasi-vacation club, 2 rtu) from ebay sellers. Won't say there weren't issues along the way, however in the end everything worked out. I did have one that the seller mis-listed that took a while to back out of - serves me right for not scrutinizing the documents that I signed (for reference, WIVC and WWVC are NOT the same company, and do not have holdings at the same resorts).
