Amazon Prime very frustrating experience!

I have had a few issues with 2 Day delivery last week and this week. I figured last week would be fine, as it was before Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but alas, it didn't work out that way.

My Thursday order for 2 day which was processed and sent Friday, was to get here today, but has experience not 1, but 2, UPS delays. No update on when it will arrive.

Usually I don't have issues. I even ordered stuff that could come whenever and I still got it 2 day as well.

This has happened to me quite a lot- not getting 2 day shipping- more like 3 or 4- and I always call them or send an email and they always give me a promotional credit or extend my Prime membership for the inconvenience. They even sometimes just refund my money paid. This time- I was supposed to get something on Tuesday or Wed of this week that I ordered on Black Friday and I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived yesterday! (Monday)

In your opinion, are those delays due to Amazon, or UPS?

In most of my cases, I believe it was Amazon for various reasons.

I think second delay was UPS and first delay was Amazon. But this is following delay of the order from last week that was Amazon/USPS combined.

I've had excellent shipping and service from Amazon in the past, but have had numerous problems in the past 6 months. Many of those problems have been much more difficult to get resolved. In the past, I've always reached very helpful, competent employees. Lately, though, it seems like most are clueless.

I just had a situation last night. I have a subscribe and save order coming on Dec. 10th. (over $25). My husband decided he needed something that was an Add-on item only ($4). I couldn't figure out how to add it to be shipped with my subscribe and save order. I did find some info that said you could save it for later and when you had a $25 order going out it would automatically be added. However, I was not sure that applied to a subscribe and save order. I called and the rep didn't seem to understand. After being on hold a long time and getting nowhere, I told her I would wait for my subscribe and save order and see if the $4 item is automatically shipped with it. However, she said she did make notes that if the add-on item was not shipped out with my subscribe and save order, that I could call and they would ship it to us for free. We shall see!

We are Prime members and have always been extremely satisfied with Amazon. Mistakes happen sometimes and how they are handled makes all the difference in the world. Amazon excels in this area as far as we are concerned.

A prime (no pun intended) example just happened a little while ago. My daughter downloaded a couple of digital albums thinking they were free because of our Prime membership. She accidentally clicked on the "buy" button instead of the "download" button and we were charged for both albums.

I sent Amazon an email about this at 6:33am this morning and received an email back saying they would get back to me within 12 hours. Most places will say within 24-48 hours. Anyways, I got an email back from them at 6:50am telling me they had reversed the charges and explained what we did wrong. All that in 17 minutes!!

Now that's customer service.

And I just had a situation last evening where I downloaded my free library book for December and then realized I had already read it! So, I sent an email to Amazon and got a very quick response. They reset the "borrow" feature for me and I was able to return the book I mistakenly borrowed and get another free book for the month. Excellent!

Outstanding!!Agreed!

Count me as a huge fan of Amazon Prime!

I love Amazon Prime. I do most of my Christmas shopping online. But even as I write this my husband is having a problem a package that has yet to arrive.

The last 3 Christmas we have also had a lot of problems with UPS. They say our package is out for delivery then exactly at 7:05 it switches to "We tried to deliver but no one was home."

That problem is with the delivery service (UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS) not with Amazon.

Yes. I was noteing a second delivery problem. We currently have a problem with Amazon that they have acknowledged and have promise to resolve by the end of tomorrow.

Update:
Yea! We got our package plus Amazon gave us a $20.00 credit.
