I need to add a guest to my reservation and I have already filled out the form. How long does it usually take to get it done even though the rep told me that it would take up to 3 days? Do I get a notification once it’s done?
Also, Is it still possible to do this on Marriott.com?

It takes about 2-4 business days.

You will not necessarily get a notification, but your guest might if they change the email address on the reservation. You will likely see it drop from your "My Trips" if they remove your Bonvoy number.

The best way to tell if they did it is go in the reservation and look at the name of the listed guest.

Owner Services does not recommend or allow making changes directly on marriott.com... If you filled the form today give it till Thursday or Friday. It will work.

One more question: how late can I modify my reservation for incoming guest? Up to the check in date or is there is a deadline?

Did you use the form, call in or do it on Marriott.com yourself?

I did two on Marriott.com just like I always have. Both rentals went through without a hitch by adding the guest name. Easy.

I believe now one has to fill out a form online to add guest to the reservation. I can no longer do so on Marriott.com or by calling.

Is there something preventing you from adding it on Marriott.com? Do you get an error when you try to save the new name?

For comfort - I added a guest to a reservation on Sunday and it was completed yesterday, Thursday. Pretty easy and timely.

Didn’t know we could now. Tried on my phone and it didn’t work, but perhaps I should try on my desktop?

Their app isn't great, so I'd try to desktop for sure.

Update: I was able to add guest name to my reservation on Marriott.com on my desktop. So not sure why it’s necessary to fill out a form to begin with…

Filling the form is necessary in order to give your guest info to MVC sales people so that they could harass your guests to attend a sales presentation:

"ANY NAMES AND ADDRESSES ACQUIRED WILL BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING THE SALE OF TIMESHARE PERIODS."

That sounds like a disclosure they should be giving to the guest, not the owner.

It looks the ability to change guest name for villa reservations is no longer available in Marriott.com. Does anyone know when the change happened?

Didn't know exactly when it happened, but someone reported it in another thread on Friday.

Closing the loophole via BonVoy had been in the works since the notice came out last year that the Guest Form was required. The loophole closed last weekend after the webpage had been closed down for a few days.

But aren't they two separate websites? It was the MVC.com website that was down for a couple days but the actual change here is on Marriott.com.

Yes, they are two different websites; but the change was finally implemented after last weekend. MVW had to wait for MI to complete the work, but there would have been B2B connections that needed to be updated.

OK so they closed the loophole.
So now we as owners can't manually edit and add our Guests / Renters to the the reservation?

So are you now saying there is a B2B integration between filling out the form and updating Marriott.com? It is all automated now?

Well it would appear the answer to my question is a resounding YES!
I went to my vacation club account and I see that I can't edit my guest information.
What a drag!

Crapoleous!

It was ABOUND to happen. I am sure Marriott had this plan to close this for quite some time. Just took them long enough to test and deploy the change.

You asked me in the earlier question if the BonVoy site was the same as the owner site; obviously they are not the same site. What I said is that the closing of the back door name change on an MVC reservation via the BonVoy site loophole was completed and that completion was noticeable after the owner website was closed for two days for updating. I am obviously not an IT person, and I've never claimed to be one. But I highly doubt it was purely coincidental, given that the company had been working on it for months. And, yes, I am saying that the systems do indeed communicate directly B2B. You know that. If your timeshare reservation shows up in your BonVoy account, it doesn't happen because someone at MVC is typing it manually into your account. The systems obviously communicate between each other.
