A Sock and a Shoe or Two Socks First?

I've been watching this thread for a while amazed. But finally, I can't let it go.

Is ours the only family that don't wear shoes in the house?

When I'm getting dressed in the AM, I put on socks; right then left (usually). Later (perhaps much later) when leaving the house, I go through the garage and put on my shoes. Right foot on, left foot on, tie right shoe, tie left shoe (again, usually).

We don't wear shoes in our house.

All shoes come off at the door!

My 6'1" husband who looks like his Nebraska Dad, is half Japanese.

Caught myself watching how he puts on his socks and shoes.......

Sounds like my in-laws.

FIL - 6'1", blue eyes, formerly blond hair (now white), Okie boy. His brother (wife's uncle) told us stories about how the family migrated from Arkansas to Oklahoma when they were kids in a covered wagon!

MIL - 5'0", 88 lbs (really!), from an old Samurai family in Osaka.

Quite the couple! BTW, all the kids and grandkids are gorgeous! Both male and female. Something about that Eurasian mix...
