I was in the process of buying one off here, but someone was faster in sending in the escrow payment and beat me to it.

many of our brokers have sold/rented ads here for years...they would not continue to do so if they got no results.

Well that's true indeed. Maybe it's because Celebrity gets a bad rap from time to time, but then a lot do. I'll keep trying.

No wonder it's not selling. It's not on the ocean. Why go all the way to Florida and not be on the beach. There are many oceanfront resorts in Fl with similar or lower cost and MF. You have PCC meat. Don't blame the TUG Classified.

e.bram - you're probably right. We used to live with a lovely sea view, moved to FL, inland as we preferred to be away from the coast and preferred to look at things other than the sea. We bought at Palm Coast for several reasons:
- We like to play golf and it's close to some good courses.
- I like St.Augustine and it's not far from there. Didn't want to be at St. Augustine Beach and wasn't impressed with Bluegreen's resort at WGV.
- We have motorcycles and it's convenient for going to Daytona without being in the midst of the noise 24/7.
- It's only a little over 3 hours to drive to it from home.
We can't be the only people out there that buy for similar reasons, but I do admit, the majority want to look at the ocean.

I am still interested to the answer of the original question that started this thread:

Will it be possible for us to find out if/when/how many timeshares
actually are being sold through the TUG website?

From the posts, it sounds like the simple answer is "no". I hope I'm wrong.

Just seems that success/effectiveness of a site should be measured in "actual sales" and not "number of listings" or "number of website hits". It can be inferred that more listings or hits produce more results, but what are the "actual" numbers? It would be hard to believe that this info is not tracked or is not available. As embarrassing as the percentages may be, those numbers should be disclosed.

It would be hard to believe this info is not tracked and available.

I don't think it is - most knowledgeable owners uses several different websites for sales and rentals, so when an owner marks their TUG Ad as "sold," or "rented'" there is no way to determine if it was on TUG, or not. Besides that - an owner can simply remove their Ad with no comment as to why, at all.

completed listings are listed in the sales history tab of each resort review page.
