It announces they are making changes in the resort fee for 2020 by switching from charging "per side" to "$4.25 per bedroom per night." I assume that is for owners and non-owner RCI exchanges will pay a higher...
I love HGVC for many reasons, but I also have a non-HGVC RCI trader and have booked back into HGVC in the past and it is a great value. Now, there is a daily $25 resort fee at many HGVC resorts in RCI (affiliates are usually excluded).

Mandatory resort fees per week:
Hotel unit 420.00 U.S. dollars.
1B unit 630.00 U.S. dollars.
2B unit 1050.00 U.S. dollars.

Saw this under Fee/Other Info tonight for an exchange vacation Dec 2019 at Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta. Previous info had a limit of 1 week during peak (now gone) and a $11 pp/pd fee (ages 12 and up). The fee now replaced by a $30 pp/pd adult and $15 pp/pd for kids (ages 2-12).

Turns out that hgvc has instituted a new $25 resort fee Pr day for all inbound RCI trades. The fee is in affect as of 16th of January so all confirmed RCI reservations from this date going forward will need to pay.
Hopefully some or most of the money will go toward the owners mf but...
