I followed the first link in OP, and still have no idea what the point/idea is with No Life Language (NLL). Can someone explain? Thanks!

"No lifetime language" on an American Express card offer means you can potentially earn a welcome bonus even if you've had the same card before, bypassing the typical "once-per-lifetime" rule. This is usually offered as a targeted promotion, often found in emails or pre-approved offers. Essentially, it removes the restriction on earning the bonus again if you've previously held the card.

Great deal to take advantage of. We have 2 Surpass and 2 Aspire and earned the welcome offer on each.

I have one Aspire in my name now. I could use a 2nd (or my wife could get one). She goes back & forth on it. We could use 3, but she can't seem to get the simple equation [-$550+$400+$200+FNC+(14pts/$ofMF)+wuddevah = Win-Win] thru her head, She gasps "pay over $1500 for credit car fees?" partly b/cs he just isn't a Hilton fan in general.

When she had the ASpire in her name, she just didn't manage it at all. I had to use the pts ("her" pts she called them) to get 5 nights at Grand Wailea before they got devalued and I had to bang bang bang to get her to use her FNC before it expired (which, of course was in her name).

Of course, if we get more Aspires, sure want to do it WITH a SUB. I read thru these links and it isn't clear to me when she or I would know the SUB was included, before or after we commit.

For anyone with FNCs, we went to Napa for the NYr weekend, to get some memorable wine on. We used "her" FNC at Carneros Resort. Highly recommend, though the room upgrade was strange ... it was basically 2 rooms, so if you do it, bring 4 people. And I really wanted to use the gym before my first sip of wine, but they were adamant that we couldn't check in til 4 pm ... even though the place couldn't have been > 50% full. NYr be damned, it was cold and rainy. Not high season. Real gym & wine weather.
