Check it out. At last an exchange company listing right up front what your costs will be. Hope II will now be more upfront with theirs.

I was just going to post this. Here is an example of a Hilton resort in Orlando with fees listed:

RCI doesn't charge the resort fee, but they were probably getting tired of the complaints from exchangers who go to these resorts and don't bother to read the fine print. You will still pay RCI the exchange fee, but be aware that the resort also charges a fee.

So much cheaper to book Bonnet Creek from Wyndham directly and avoid RCI's $299 exchange fee. Or book Marriott with Marriott and pay $199 exchange fee and no resort fees.

The disclosure of fees upfront and making the information very obvious. This was a wise move by RCI. Kudos to them for not hiding the fees. Less complainers is always better.

For the rented weeks, didn't seem to work for me. When I looked at a unit in Greece it didn't have the electricity and taxes paid to the timeshare.

I hate this update. Can't see the TPU's needed from the first screen, so can't scan and zero in on what I can afford. Have to click in. Boo.

This is only through the Wyndham portal for RCI as far as I can see.

The fees are the fees that have always been listed in the important info/fees tab but now they are making them more front and center. It doesn't mean they are correct. RCI continues to list Massanutten resorts as $9 per unit per night when the correct info is $9 per bedroom per night so when I look up a 2 BR as Massanutten they use that to total a week at $63 when in reality when you check in the fee is $126 for a 2 BR and $252 for a 4 BR.

I am noticing reduced trading power required (in weeks) for Hilton, probably because the resort fees are very high.

I am considering booking a few of these weeks for us to just stay near Disney for a month, maybe October of 2026 would be a good time.

Some of the inventory doesn't include the fee, but most does for Parc Soleil.

The fees for Hilton SeaWorld are $245 for the week + $299 exchange fee + trading power. SERIOUSLY!

I like the increased transparency on resort fees. Hopefully, it increases the downward pressure on the somewhat — especially in markets with more choices.

That isn't the screen I was seeing the disclosure of fees. I was also using RCI Points, but now I don't see the fees listed. Hilton probably had a thing or two to say about the fees being so blatant.

Now this is on the top lefthand side of the list of resorts:

If I was RCI I'd add a filter for amount of resort fees to try and push that down a bit.

+1 (looking at RCI's website as an exchanger. Not a Wyndham owner)

I use a filter (i.e, my own eyeballs) to screen out timeshares offered for rent or exchange that charge daily/nightly resort fees. Shux upon them.

So far I'm still tolerating the weekly "amenities" fee for Vacation Village At Parkway, but the higher that goes the more grumped off I get over it.

I suspect my advancing age will interact with those rising fees to bring my timesharing days to an end.

Meanwhile, as long as my rough & ready reckoning tells me I can stay in luxury timeshare accommodations at approximately Motel 6 & Super 8 rates, then I'm still good with my maintenance fees & my RCI charges (or Armed Forces Vacation Club, as the case may be).

I just used RCI for a quick leaf peeper get away in Massachusetts. I used their $30 off exchange fee sale. LOVE the new set up. No surprises in fees. We have done this same exchange twice before, and always felt we got our money's worth.

I hate it also. In the past I would just ignore the ones with TPU’s out of my range.
