ROFR Exercised/Passed

It is all HGV, since that is the umbrella company. Are you saying 23k from HGVClub and then the rest from The Club?
Sorry for the confusion. I purchased 23k directly from HGVC and paid developer prices. My other ~ 100,000 are all resale deeds. Im wondering if there is a way to clean my resale deeds to add to my status to become Centrum+ without paying a crazy amount

60,000k of my 100,000 resale are these MBV deeds

Are you currently Max? Why do you want to become Centrum+ (what benefit(s) are you going after)?

Where is your next stay? I would try another office, like Orlando and maybe Vegas but I beat Orlando would work with you. They seem to have more flexibility.

I know that when we were offered a deal, at KL, to take our two blvd resale deeds toward a Kohala Suites deed and Max, they had to call Orlando to get it signed off on. We didn't do it though.

I rent some weeks out, having the guest certificates helps streamline that process. Plus a couple other benefits that would help with how I use the program.

@JMoon, are you a Max or Legacy HGVC owner?

We plan to propose a deed trade in when we visit Liberty Place at the end of the year. Trade in a couple of our LV deeds + some $ (I'm sure) for a Studio Premier (14,880). We like it there and seem to be going regularly (annually for last 3 years anyway). Would also like to trade in a couple of our other resell and grab the Quad Studio Premier at Elara bHC (also 14,880) as it seems we are heading there kinda regularly. And neither of these are showing up in resell much (plus strand is ROFR their deeds anyway). Wonder if we could do both at the same time and get it all with "one modest cash infusion". Don't know, guess we will find out. But also won't chase a deal, so it will be what it will be

But they will with time, if you can wait. I am surprised at how fast they show up on the resale market. Look at MBV, for example. MBV is still under construction with active sales.

You can't use your points to stay there. I don't think either are hard to book

I was offered 4,000 Hawaii trust points for $10k (after an original offer of $9/point) in an OU at Kaanapali in July where they would clean all my resale deeds and add them to my status. When I related this to Michael he informed me that that was factually untrue and that it cannot be done. Maybe at one point it was possible??? If anyone has a contact that helped with this process please let me know separately as I would like to explore that option.

I’ve had some private conversations with @h2oflyboy and sounds like he was offered the world and led down a path of lies.

Path of LIES! sooo accurate!
But it can be done. I am not sure though. There are plenty of folks, in the FB groups, that have received offers and I know a person who traded in several deeds to get Centum.

I think if I posted the question in the resale FB group, you would hear about plenty.

I think the sales folks will say whatever they want to push a sale and what I have noticed there is a range of knowledge by the sales folks. Plus, I think it is pretty standard to get a "VP" approval for non-standard deals.

I'd like to see some of these posts - I removed myself from FB years ago! There was a reason I lost contact with HS friends.
With this purchase my total points are a little over 120,000. I’m all ears on how to get to Centrum+. I’m happy to trade in some of my deeds but I’m also not spending $50-60k to get there. I’m not on FB so any insight is appreciated.
2 additional things a Centum+ receives
  • Six complimentary guest certificates each year
  • a personal concierge
I'm going to say as a temp centum+ not worth it!

This isn't true. I know plenty of people that have and they have offered it to us.

There isn't a minimum dollar amount. Each property/sales person basically makes up their own rules. NYC and Hawaii tend to tell people there is a $25k minimum. Not true. There are plenty of examples where people have upgraded for less. They have offered to take our resale Blvd plus $7k to get in Max at Premier+.

I would not buy trust points. Expensive, high MFs, and hard to offload
100% on point # 2 , I traded my MBV deed and did not pay a minimum to get into Max.

I also traded 1 MBV deed 2PX , for 2 new MBV deeds, 2BP & 1BP

Saw your post earlier & yours certainly was far less than the 25k fresh money, and very recent and in Hawaii, so not sure re the 25k minimum fresh money & other apparent comments...
Likely scare tactics and smart folks like you were able to cut thru the chase & negotiate aggressively with the HGVC sales sharks...
May enlighten folks (may take offline with @JMoon , @HuskerATL & @GT75 )...
TY!
