Parking at Hilton Hawaiian Village

MVC offers free parking for owners at all its Hawaiian locations except for the one in Waikiki. As for the most part does HGVC.

Charging for parking in urban locations at hotels, timeshares, and other accommodations is both customary and expected - cars take up valuable real estate that can be better put to other uses.

The only real outlier is HGVC’s Ocean Tower on the BI which suffers from being a former hotel with a really strange parking situation. Taking a tram to the parking lot is something I expect at an amusement park…not a resort.

Maybe so but hello these are supposed to be our homes not hotels so I don’t pay for parking in my home and I live in downtown Miami where the real estate is very expensive.
I expect to be able to park my car for the maintenance fee that I pay to live in my condo. I pay triple what a suburban condo pays. I have an assigned parking spot. The building was built with owner car parking in mind. It’s part of city planning.

So if you stay on an exchange or getaway you don’t have to pay for the valet? Like Vegas? Or at least like it was when I was last in Vegas. Just a tip?

If you stay on an exchange at Ko'Olina (Marriott owner or not) parking is complementary. This is the same at Grand Chateau. The difference with Grand Chateau is that it is valet only. Grand Chateau isn't a City Collection property.

I think in some cases, people who live in urban centers pay to park a personal vehicle. Many who live in those same urban city centers don't even own a car and rely 100% on public transportation.

Oh okay. I thought KoOlina only had valet too. I misunderstood.
I have only stayed At Aulanai in KoOlina but hoping to stay at MVC next time.

Maybe so but in Miami that’s very difficult. It’s fine for sticking around the city proper and I do use the trolley and ride my scooter bike because parking is a pain everywhere but leaving the city to go anywhere else you definitely need a car unfortunately because uber is ridiculously expensive.

MKO is just like Aulani in regards to parking. Use your points, week or trade there is no fee for self parking. Valet parking, there is a fee. At Aulani you get complimentary self parking for two vehicles per reservation vs one vehicle per reservation at MKO. You get two vehicles at MKO if you are staying in a 3br unit though.
