[ 2018 ] rescinding bluegreen!

I just purchased a small binneal BG package, and have been reading a lot of negative reviews in the network. May I ask why you canceled your membership? That may help me to make a decision while still I have time. Thanks!!
mind sharing the timeshare purchase price? As half of us initially bought developer timeshares, there is no shame.

Thanks much! I don't mind being charged for the books. As long as they accept my rescind letter.

All I sent was my rescession letter. I’m pretty sure all coupons become invalid when they cancel your contract.

I’m so glad I found this forum. My husband and I bought a ts yesterday and would like to get out of it. We’re definitely going to be mailing the letter tomorrow. I’m just so confused does the deed have to go with it ?

No it does not.

Just a letter stating you want to rescind your purchase.
Include the contract number and your full identifying info (name, addy, etc) that is on the paperwork.

Please read further up this thread to see the correct mailing procedure.

Hey did you get your money back?

I and my girlfriend bought this on sunday 08/20 and after researching we decided to use our rescission time and sent letter yesterday with fedex overnight delivery which was signed today morning 08/22. What documents you sent? Also do i need to send again from usps if this is signed?
Thank you!

Since they signed for the Fedex overnight doc, you should be good. You could have used the post office with return receipt requested for a little less $$$.

Thanks for replying. Wanted to get one more information. I returned promotional books at the time of checkout at bluegreen lasvegas property. I do have tickets and some promotional vouchers with me. Do i need to send them in separate mail?

I sent a letter with template, cancellation letter from public offer, valid proof of payments, disclosure document and contract copy.

Yes. My refund is currently processing.

Did you receive 49$ back first and then down payment or full amount?
Also did you receive any mail stating same?
They haven’t mailed me anything. I only found out because the initial charge for the deposit is pending a refund. I even called my bank to confirm. Legally they don’t have to let you know anything. Just keep a look out for the refund. I used a different card so I can’t see a refund for the $49 yet, just the deposit.

You should be good. I sent FedEx overnight and they signed for it. I sent ups certified just in case but they sent me and email saying that my 49$ charge was being refunded. You should be good. I got my refund in full approximately a week and a half after I sent first letter. Just sent the letter that’s it. But the time for refund can vary but they legally have to refund you now. I sent certified mail as a way to have a legal document that will for sure hold up in court. They give you a government issued for to prove you sent it and bluegreen cant argue that.

A big "Thank You" to this thread for the information on rescission from our recently purchased Bluegreen timeshare. We bought on 8/22 at Wilderness in Missouri, and thanks to this thread was able to postmark the cancellation by the 8/25, and received the credit back on my card today 9/1. We went in absolutely saying NO, but were intrigued by the "Bonus Time". We were conveniently not told about the 45 days out booking time until after we signed. There were a few times our sales guy left out details and claimed he didn't know the answer when asked, so had to get another more senior guy. We were not pressured at all, but it did feel like they were leaving important info out (probably on purpose). I'm disappointed that I fell for these tactics, but am relieved to have found support here.

I signed for bluegreen in Savannah on Friday, Sept 29. After repeatedly saying no, then finally caving and immediately regretting my decision. Found this forum that night, sent in my recission letter overnight USPS Certified, with signature required. Now it is just sitting at the post office in Boca (since yesterday at 11am) and I am low-key freaking out that they won't get it. Should I send another overnight tomorrow, not requiring signature?

Many businesses use P.O. Box but only check it once or twice a week. It does not matter when they pick it up. The Date of Mailing is the important Date. Also the Legal Standard is that a Mailing is presumed Delivered on the Date of Mailing so long as you can Prove the Date of Mailing.

For proof of mailing will the receipt and and tracking info suffice?

So, I am starting to worry again. My rescission was delivered last Tuesday. But I haven't heard anything or seen any changes in my account yet. How long did it typically take everyone to know the recission worked?
