Vidanta Just bought 3Feb and want to cancel

Thanx qc, I’ll do the email tomorrow..and follow up with the letter. Was it just a letter requesting cancel, or did you put your reasons in?
You aren't required to put any reasons why you are cancelling. You can say you are exercising your legal right to cancel this purchase because that's what Mexican law
says you have the right to do.

congrats on finding TUG in time to rescind and save a fortune!

Time traveler is correct. Use registered mail for Mexico, as that’s what’s legally valid in Mexico. @C9dieder We hope your rescission and deposit refund are successful. To track TUG rescission savings, mind sharing how much you saved with rescission? As half of tuggers initially bought developer/retail TS, there is no shame.
Thanks Grammar , will email and send Register return receipt to Vidanta ++ as well as you for final resolution

@C9dieder I did not give a reason why, I just gave the details in the email cancellation. When the representative called me to confirm and clarify details she did ask why for their own internal use. At no time did she pressure me to reconsider..

If you message me your email I can send you a copy of what I sent.

But don't waste time. Send the email today, and then follow up with the registered letter. Sales can be brutal there, but I found Member Services is very business like.

Thnx again, Just sent you message

Update1 - email sent and received yesterday, notification letter sent via reg mail today with cc copy to Profeco. I tried to cc Profeco email, but their email bounced back. Anyone have a good address...I used turista@profeco.gob.mx .... maybe it’s supposed to be turisto ? They called and said it’ll be no problem refunding, but offered to cut my contract in half.

Part of Vidanta Member Services job is to keep members who are considering rescinding.

If you proceed with the rescind process you will receive what is owed back.
Vidanta is a professional organization that complies with the Mexican law requirements and Profeco regulations.

I saw that one, but it seems that was for complaints if company does not respond accordingly??
@C9dieder we hope your rescission and refund went well. To track TUG rescission savings, mind sharing how much you'd save with rescission? As half of tuggers initially bought developer timeshares, there is no shame.

How did it go? Did you manage to rescind within the 5 business day period? I'm passed that time and would like to cancel my contract. I wonder if I could get my deposit back, if not it would still be cheaper than paying for the whole contract.

Yes, I sent within 4 days, via email and certified, however, I have not received the certified notices back yet..company offered a cheaper option, I declined, and then offered 2 more cheaper options, and declined again. that was about a week ago, after playing phone tag. They are completing refund now, so hopefully I’ll see that by end of next week. Also during their presentation they did not have the other options available?

Sorry did t reply earlier...didn’t see this...as of 17Feb they were finalizing the refund paperwork...hopefully I will have it back by 5Mar. I’ll update this post once that’s done. Thank you all for advice and help.
