Your FAVORITE meal?

Hmmm. This a hard choice. I think I would go with:

Korean Bulgogi soup with glass noodles
tender rare steak
Alaskan King crab with drawn butter
loaded baked potato
spinach salad with green pepper, hard-boiled egg, black olives, red onion, tomato with ranch dressing

For dessert, I wold choose something with lots of caramel sauce, probably sticky toffee pudding or English bread pudding with rum/caramel sauce.

My beverage of choice would be pomegranate zinfandel over ice.

Lobster Thermador at Tadich Grill, San Francisco, second booth on the left, with two bottles of Opus One Cabernet, with my gorgeous wife, of course.

I'm an OvoLactoPescatarian so my cholesterol is really, really low. ;)

That means I eat eggs, dairy products, and fish, but not meat or fowl.

I couldn't actually tell you the number, because I don't really pay attention to it, since it's so low, but my Dr. once told me I had the lowest cholesterol he'd ever seen in an adult.

I thought about what meal I'd post, but to tell you the truth, nothing pops out at me.

I have a friend who is a Pescatarian, and although she is OvoLacto, she is allergic with anything from a cow (most cheeses, milk, etc). She can eat goat cheeses and milk substitutes. She also eats no fried food.

We go out to breakfast or lunch once a month, and have done this for years. We have a list of places we generally go to. I was telling another friend about going to lunch with Barb, and said, "We went to Baja Fresh, cause she's a Pescatarian, and she can get grilled fish tacos there."

This friend looked at me quizzically, and said, "She's a Presbytarian?". Cracked me up inside, but I held it in and explained.

BOOOOOOORING...I feel for u.....If u haven't had your cholesterol checked in awhile; do yourself a favor...Get it checked....Only because u said "Dr Once told me".........Can't hurt..............Stay healthy.....I get mine checked every year..

I said that my Dr. once told me that - not that I had my cholesterol checked once. I have a physical every year, and it's always low.

No need to feel for me - I'm very happy with my food choices.

This is good.

I eat no fellow mammals; no Thumper, no Bumper, no Bambi.......just chicken, fish/shellfish, dairy & eggs. I am working my way down the food chain.

In spite of my preference for the four food groups of salty, greasy, cheesy, and beer, I got a perfect score of 0 on my CT heart scan last week which put me in the top 5% of men my age. Poor diet doesn't necessarily lead to heart disease.

All the discussion about healthy diet has me humming Shel Silverstein's classic song, Still Gonna Die:

A whole lamb seasoned with oregano and garlic roasting on a spit. Lemon potatoes, tazaki, retsina, backlava on a warm Mediterranean beach.

Cheese burger, steak fries and a real Coke (not diet this time). An ice cold Coors Light. A slice of my pumpkin pie with my real whipped cream. A chocolate chocolate chip bundtlet with cream cheese frosting from Nothing Bundt Cakes. A few milk chocolate Bordeaux candies from See’s. OK, now that I’m ten pounds up - I think I’m done. :)

Last meal

Lots to choose from but a last meal would have to be something Mama made that I loved:

A fried center cut pork chop accompanied by ketchup, white rice with brown gravy, applesauce, green beans. A warm oatmeal raisin cookie. And a cold Diet Coke on ice.

"Sorry, we're Pescatarian."

"There goes the neighborhood..."
