OP: Not buying Max as a BG owner will not be a good thing. That you can count on.

Others: Why?

OP: Because my wife and I decided so.

Others: Can you explain what the pros and cons are?

OP: You are a patronizing, bunch of know-it-alls.

Others: You added no basis for your statements.

OP: If you own BG, adding Max is a major improvement over what you will be left with without it.

Others: This is a waste of time.

OP: It is just common sense.

Others: Again, you haven't provided any facts.

Glynda: Typical mentality of the low-cost Bluegreen owner. "I love my BG and its not gonna change". SMH
LOL. wanna bet? BG has been bought for over 1.5B dollars! Do you think its gonna stay the same?
Use your head. BG is part of Hilton. SMH
Mongoose: You don't have to "rave about Max". It offers like 3x the number of properties that BG has.
That alone makes it worth it. And Hiltons are nicer than BG's, I bet.

Why the contempt? Nevertheless, I'll address your post as you have taken my words and modified them for your own purposes and I'll not let you get away with it so easily. I did not say “ I love my BG and its (sic) not gonna change.” I said, "I don't want to spend any more money on a timeshare. I want to use my Bluegreen points as I have been."

While I have owned Bluegreen points for 24 years, I have not loved my Bluegreen for quite some time. Bluegreen has changed over these years and I am aware that it will change again with this acquisition. Regardless, I don't want to, and will not, spend any more money on a purchase of a timeshare or add-ons to one. Any timeshare. My purchases of timeshares have served us very well and hopefully will continue to for a while longer, but my husband and I are aging out of timeshare travel and our travel interests lie elsewhere.

Yes, I said that I want to use my Bluegreen points as I have been. Such a statement doesn’t imply that I believe that I will be able to. Only that I want to.

You do nothing but destroy your own credibility when you misrepresent others.

I checked the OPs post history, and he is the person with the "List of Lies" thread....... Things are starting to fit together.
Nothing to see there folks. The OP has since restricted his/her profile info from view. Covering tracks much?

Just put their name in the search bar, you'll get all of their posts.

"Word" to my Canadian friend.
BUT my point is:
If you own BG, adding Max is a major improvement over what you will be left with without it.
Some of the other clubs mentioned were much more expensive than BG and in my long life I've found that you get what you pay for.
I think you are missing the point that those with actual MAX experience have, and that is, there is little inventory left at 6 months.

This is a very welcoming group, but you are presenting opinions as facts, without any backing with evidence. Please explain the conversion rate of points, average maintenance fee from BG needed to get a prime 2BR and the retail cost for the “upgrade”. Then compare that to the cost of a resale week at a location like Elara.

It is simply common sense. What happened to Diamond when everyone from Hilton wanted to use their resorts? Did it make availability more difficult for the Diamond owner?
Yup. I know this from owner friends.

This "everyone" has not needed to use my Hilton points to use DRI resorts. I've stayed at several using Interval Accommodation Certificates, paying cash. It's never taken from a DRI owner, these were DRI owned weeks they put in Interval or weeks for DRI points that owners used in Interval.

Max is the very same thing as Interval, RCI, or DEX, an exchange system, only weeks put in the exchange can be reserved, nobody is stealing weeks from owners.

Joining Max is ONLY potentially useful if you wish to access HGV, HGVC, or the former Embarc.
Not useful for accessing Embarc at all. At our last board meeting we got the number of Embarc members who have bought into Max - 1,500 - that's less than 6%. Good luck to anyone finding something worthwhile at Embarc with those numbers. Our own members have to book further out than 6 months to find space in anything but the slowest season. I would bet the buy-in percentage for HGVC owners is similar to Embarc. Most in HGVC (Embarc or Hilton) would see HVC as a downgrade - and why buy more points to get access at 6 months from checkout FOR AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM when you can pay Interval, RCI or SFX Resorts (or if you have access to DEX) $100 for a yearly membership and regularly be able to book more than 12 months out?
In my opinion, someone paying 10's of thousands for Max is going to be VERY disappointed with the lack of access.

Bluegreen has 30 business days to exercise ROFR.
How many days are you into the process?
Did you pay $0.75-1.00 per point?

BG has been taking back 80-90 % of resales

I started the process over a month ago

I don't believe there is ROFR for fixed weeks at older resorts that were not developed by BG.
Example.
At La Cababa Aruba fixed week owners can buy and sell as they please.
Bluegreen point owners with pUPs at La Cabana must submit their sales for ROFR

St

Sterling title in boca
Apparently L T no longer handles blue green
LT Transfer never handled BG closing as vacation club point transfers are handled in house thru either Sterling or Talcott Law.
I thought that a deeded fixed week might be handled differently.
Congrats on your new purchase.

Kris Koski at Sterling is great. Did you seller get the new deed and have it signed and notarized?
No one is in a rush anymore but they will get it done.
I have several Marriott/Vistana closing in process and after all paperwork is sent to Marriott it takes 12 weeks to get into your account t.
