The only home page I have ever had is Yahoo, I am considering changing to Google. Anyone have any advice of which is better. Lately I have been having popup ad on Yahoo page. I have popup blocker on, and have opted out, but according the Yahoo, I can't stop the ad. Does Google do the same thing?

I've stuck with Yahoo for my HP becuz Yahoo is my primary online e-mail account.
At this point, changing e-mail addresses would involve like a zillion notices.

Better for what? What do you want to see? I like Yahoo News so that's mine...

You can simply have both up at the same time. I have TUG and a ´gateway´home page up when I start my computer. Just drag the URL line to an open (empty) webpage. (the little box to the right of where it says Timeshare Users group now).

I use both for my home page (in separate tabs). I like Yahoo for content and Google for search.

To do this yourself, just go to Tools, Internet Options and enter both www.yahoo.com and then go down to the next line and enter www.google.com underneath it inside the Home Page box.

A switch in Home Page does not require an email switch.

I've stuck with Yahoo for my HP becuz Yahoo is my primary online e-mail account.

If I am reading this correctly, there is some confusion regarding setting your 'home page' to a vendor other than your email address. Sometimes I set my home page to a blank page because it opens up quicker. Then I decide where I want to go for that session.

True... I could easily navigate to Yahoo-Mail w/o making it a home-page.
However, I've customized "My Yahoo" to display a list of recently received e-mails (as well as news). Thus, I get to see whether anything of significance has come in that warrants my attention just by loading my home-page. Its just terribly convenient.
