Wyndham Westwind, Myrtle Beach

I need a shout out for the staff and activities at Wyndham Westwind. We're currently snowbirding here. The staff is great. There is a veranda over looking the ocean where activities take place. They setout bagels and muffins in the mornings along with juice and coffee. The afternoon social hour consists of tacos and margaritas. They also organization potluck dinners in the evening. Plus they offer all the normal Wyndham activities and tours. It's not a large impersonal resort, but a very personal resort where you're treated like family.

Great review on Westwinds. I like the laid back pace of this resort over the other ones.

What part of Myrtle Beach is this resort near ? Is it near the Marriott Ocean Watch or Shore Crest Vacation Resort or Westgate MB Resort ?

Second question can non Wyndam guests request ocean front villas at this resort or are all the villas ocean front units.

westwinds is located in N. MB it is located in the windy hills section , about 6 blocks off highway 17 I think it is 27 ave. it is the street across from the MB airport almost all units face the ocean there is approx. 6, 1 bedroom units on the 2nd & 3rd floors , floors 4-10 are all oceanfront except the villas ending in 1 & 10 are ocean view.excellent resort,but lately it has got a lot of attention i'm sure in part from tug and now has a lot of younger people with young kids and teens.where as it was for years old fogies like me.

We love westwinds too for the same reasons you described. small resort with great staff. We own a summer week there but our kids prefer seawatch (more activities). As already stated the majority of the rooms are oceanfront!

If the temp. keeps as low as it has been, Westwinds looks better and better as a Snowbird spot.
