Wyndham View From the Balcony

The fog on the lake this morning from the balcony of our four bedroom presidential at Lake of The Ozarks.

Overcast when we arrived at TOTG today - but what is it they say? A cloudy day at the beach beats the best day at work right? . 19th floor for the next two weeks 1934/36 (3 bedroom lockoff) is our home away from home. Almost at the top 20th floor - never been this high here. Nicer view for sure.

@HitchHiker71, will you still be at MB the weekend of 6/6? We're coming down on a Wyndham package; we've got a studio for the weekend at Grand Palms, and then the tour of course. If you are around, and interested, would love to meet you for Happy Hour or coffee. I can provide TUGger references that would say I am pretty normal. ;) (I am shocked that we got a summer weekend for the package, tbh.)

Wish we were but checkout day is 6/5/2026 and we may actually leave the afternoon of 6/4/2026 and take our time getting home via an overnight hotel stay, which is what we do on the way down every year to break up the 9-10 hour drive each way.

Stop in at Boulineau’s and get a double doozie chocolate chip cookie from the bakery for a nightcap - you won’t be disappointed!!
Enjoy the beach!

This is from building A ground floor unit correct? All units have ocean view. Buildings A and B are closest to the beach though.
No, this is building H next to check in. We thought there would be nothing to see , but we were pleasantly surprised. They have a free Keurig coffee machine in the lobby that we took full advantage of every morning. Able to sit on the balcony enjoying our view and or free coffee.

BTDT - love their cookies from the bakery there - not this year though - on a strict low carb program these days. We did bring our Ninja Creami machine to make our own high protein ice cream mixes though! . Boulineau’s is our first stop after settling in to grab food to cook. Last night was fresh burgers with steamed old bay shrimp. We literally just walk down and shop each day for whatever we want that night. Probably steaks or chicken tonight!

We can only get studios in A through G. We stayed in a loft once and had friends that got a 1 bedroom. Never stayed in H. People we have talked to that have been in both prefer A -G.

I didn't get a room with a balcony but I went up to the pool/activities space on the 19th floor at Margaritaville in Atlanta. Does that count?

You picked an exceptional week to be in Santee!

It has been gorgeous here in NMB the past several days now. Makes leaving today all the more difficult LOL. All packed up and ready to start the journey homeward soon.

Yes! I live in SC and it's been amazing the past few days. I'm sure it'll ramp up to 90 and 90% humidity any day now

Lake of the Ozarks (Osage Beach). All rooms are lake front ( you could almost jump into the lake from the balcony). Also cutest fishing dock (and also can pull in a pontoon boat (not dock, but pick up people), multiple grilling areas. I highly recommend this place. The staff and other guests were the nicest people. The kids made friends every day (took about 2 minutes) in the pool. Nice pool, big hot tub, and kiddie pool, all in the same fenced in area. Really nice recreation building (shuffle board, ping pong, foos ball, and pool). Cutest thing ever watching 2 3-year olds playing ping pong. And.... an ice machine! And lots of hills :)

Going to be there in a 1BR 7/12-7/17. Any suggestions on building or unit to request?
I don't know about the location by room size/type. There are 3 buildings A, B, C. All lakefront. Very similar to how the buildings are at Star Island - exterior entry, no hallway, one central elevator per building. The elevator in building A is not working, so if that's an issue - call now and see if it's possible not to be in building A. My sister was in a 3 Bedroom Presidential - which was only in A. My daughter and I were in 2 bedrooms, we were in building C. All rooms have a lake view. Being high was nice. Being in C was nice as the access to the pool was super convenient - across the parking lot. There is a BBQ area between A and B and that is where the steps to the dock area are. Very small place, nothing is too far - except soooo hilly. Funny access ramps / steps to get to the rooms or elevator (nothing is a straight shot, it's like a maze, you'll know what I mean when you get there). If you like to fish, bring your gear. Pool toys were nice to have for the kids.

Adding on (I am working on a review): Interesting bed setup - in the 2 bedroom units. King in the master, 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen Murphy bed in the living room. Very nice, IMO, but -- we were 1 adult couple per room with littles 7 and under. So nice, we might look at options of having a murphy bed in our spare bedroom, love the concept.

These were booked via Club Wyndham Lake of the Ozarks - although all branding was World Mark. (updated/corrected - these were 2 bedroom units (not deluxe as earlier stated).

View from the top of the Wyndham Midtown last night (family is there, not me, darn it, they did't watch the fireworks from here, so no fireworks pics from there, but nice city view).

They knew in advance they wouldn't be able to see the fireworks from the rooftop here, so they walked to a pier :) 🎆 My sister said she walked 13 miles yesterday (and talked her husband into a taxi from Battery Park back to Midtown earlier in the day).

At 6am this morning it's looking like it might be a day for the indoor waterparks at Glacier Canyon. Not a person in sight at this time of the morning but the birds are singing, the ducks are quacking, and the bullfrog in the pond adds his two cents periodically.

The fireworks on the 4th were great. A manager told DH that Wilderness Territory, Kalahari, and Great Wolf Lodge compete to put on the best display. We could see all three from the balcony in our son's unit. That was impressive!

Our son and his family leave tomorrow except for our one granddaughter who's staying on with us because more family will be joining us. Too bad they all couldn't make it work to be here at the same time this year. Instead of the normal three ring circus when they're all here, we'll have two shows of a two ring circus. Yes, they are my monkeys, lol.

Ocean Blvd Myrtle Beach. This is floor 2, north side of tower 2, room 240. This is the first level with rooms. Floor 1 is where access to the pools, cafe and activity center are. P1 and P2 are parking with the lobby on P2.
