I bought (won) 500K Wyndham contract from an ebay seller way back in May 2008. Since he was trying to transfer via a quitclaim deed, I refused to pay any money to him. He said that I can pay him after the transfer. Transfer finally happened after 7 months (on Dec 12th, 2008). Wyndham has also transferred past due fees of 2007 and 2008 on my account (totaling $4200). I am fighting this with Wyndham but I do not think I will win. Essentially, I will not be paying any money to the seller, so I am getting this contract for $4200 (amount of past dues). This is approximately the going rate for 500K contract (including closing and transfer fees).

Do you have any recommendations on how to fight this with Wyndham? Do you think I have a case here?

My only recourse with the ebay seller is not to pay him a single dime!

Thanks,

I can't see wyndham dropping that debt as it is tied to the property you transfered. I think you need to contact the seller and have a little disclosure conversation.

You pay him what you agreed to if he pays the outstanding monies owed. Or perhaps just get them to agree to call it a day.

This is probably Wanted Weeks, Shaun Fletcher. Oh, my goodness! How are you responsible for past due fees? I would be fit to be tied. NO OTHER reseller/ closing company passes a deed to a new buyer with unpaid fees.

It's time to contact Wanted Weeks and tell them they sold something that has money owed, and if they don't pay it, you will take them to small claims court.
