Got a Seawatch upgrade question.

I had a 2BR Deluxe unit at the Tower price -- 101,500 points (Week 34) with the 50% discount. The 2BR Deluxe unit upgraded to a 3BR Deluxe unit. I would like to think that since the original reservation was in a tower, the upgraded reservation would be as well. But I suspect that's not the way it works. Could be tower, could be villa. Right?

We were provided this information, which was unchanged form when we first went to Seawatch in 1999, when we attended an update two years ago. Also, last year we stayed at Westwinds and they have maintained floors dedicated for specific check in dates. I have not asked about changes associated with check in other days of the week or shorter stays.

The towers and the villas have different point "prices" for the same size unit. A 2 bedroom tower unit is 203,000 points being either ocean front or ocean view. From information we were provided in the past, an upgrade was to be for a larger or better view unit. I would not personally consider a larger unit in the villas as being an upgrade compared to an ocean front view. You could probably call the resort directly and ask what your upgrade might be.

We were given the same unit information when we attended an update two years ago that we obtained in 1999. I have not asked about how the listing might be affected by the new reservation policy of being able to check in any day of the week. We stayed at Westwinds last year and they had floors dedicated for specific check in days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
