Me holding my breath waiting for something good this time. Lol

Like maybe financial info? I still have no idea what I’ll be paying next month.
I just logged in and I’m still not seeing the assessments.

Anyone figured out what they did on the update last night?

I think that they made those RT free. I saw that people were charged yesterday after the announcement so it only makes sense that they had to get that straightened out.

One thing they didn't do is make it unnecessary to scroll through reservations three at a time.

I do feel like some of the dysfunctionality is intentional. I really do. So many features are missing or slow. You absolutely have to maintain separate records now and it's impossible to have checks and balances. Definitely discouraging if you have any volume at all. Still not sure if I'm considered a mega renter. I don't think so, but definitely a discourage user. I can't imagine managing anymore than my 6M points with this system. I rent and my family uses. They have to email me now when they book something and let me know the details. It used to be simple, I could look up anything someone booked, filter by them or the resort they were staying at. Now I scroll through, 3 at a time. Ho ho ho.

So this morning, I got a popup it was time to change my password. Went smoothly. Guessing that's a new feature implemented this past update? Definitely more important than easily viewing my reservations or my financial details. NOT!

Just tried making a reservation- didnt get an option for upgrades... anyone else find oddities like this?

In essence, what you're saying is that Wyndham intentionally does things or has features intended to alienate owners who have spent a whole p---pot of money. I would think a major objective of Wyndham would be to enhance owner value rather than diminish it. Enhanced owner value leads to sales, Wyndham's life blood.

An RCI example: What is the fundamental problem with renting an exchange? (In law, there are two kinds of wrongs -- malum in se and malum prohibidum. Briefly, some things are prohibited because they are wrong -- murder, rape, assault, theft, trespass, etc. Some things are wrong because they are prohibited -- renting RCI exchanges.}

I rarely deposit any of my fixed/floating weeks into RCI. I haven't deposited Wyndham points with RCI for ten years or more. I might do more with RCI if I knew I could do something with an exchange week other than use it myself. And, more exchanges means more exchange fees and more sales because a potential owner knows he has more options, more ways to use his ownership.

... it's probably from my time as an editor for a law journal, but I would consider the use of a right brace rather than a close parenthesis malum in se.

You're right and I should be taken out and shot for this grievous error. :)

Since I can't recall ever using curly brackets in writing (in mathematics, yes), I'm going to blame it on the fact that it was late (meaning early in the AM) and I had just driven from Cocoa Beach to Fairfax County, VA. I can't say I fat-fingered it because the two keys aren't really that close although they do look a lot alike at 1 AM.

Once again, form triumphs over substance. Why is renting exchanges malum prohibidum?

Well, I believe the punishment for improper use of braces is actually a paper cut rather than capital. There are, of course, malum prohibitum aspects of their use {e.g., nesting parenthetical in the improper order (the curly ones generally go first by rule)}, it's just mixing that is malum in se.

As far as renting exchanges goes, allowing you to do that would put you in competition with RCI (or whatever exchange system you're in). As a result, you'd be cutting into their potential profits. Unless the system has been set up to allow that, the operator of the exchange isn't going to like it and will do what they can to prevent it.

I have not seen any issues around this - are you sure there are larger units (potentially) available at that resort?

You don't have to do this, that's what the Transaction History section is for - getting a list of all specific transaction types. The feature you're referencing is intentionally not exposing the entire table of data to provide better performance. It's inbuilt into the AEP system that is being used to deliver the website experience. If you want to see a list of all reservations - use the TX history section. Granted, it's not perfect either - but that's where you want to go for this type of thing. Hopefully Wyndham will improve the TX history section to allow for more configurable options and columnar data display options to meet owner preferences over time. It's been on our list for months as a feature enhancement.

I just went to the Transaction History and clicked on some transactions. Now I know where to go to see "Something unexpected just happened."

1) I'm thinking about canceling a reservation in May but I want to be sure I haven't registered a guest.

2) I want to book a reservation three months out and I already have a reservation for that week but I'm not sure if the traveler is my wife or me.

3) I want to see how many points I used for a reservation in early April, thirty-one reservations down my list.

4) I want to see if a reservation starting February 20 has been upgraded.

I don't see the Transaction History helping me do any of those things. The ability to create a custom search would be awesome.

I agree their interface is for prettyness not usefulness. Would love if it was all exportable to excel. I have used a calculator way too many times for calculations that should have been easy for them to show.

Take the photos off the reservation list.

I've been working with Owner care since mid October because I have not been able to access the website... at all. I was assured they found the issue and that the website upgrade would fix it. It didn't. I've emailed my contact in Owner care and the tech in IT I have been working with but nothing since Saturday.

Although I agree with all of your points.
I’ve come around to believe that Wyndham & the IT department know exactly what they’re doing.
The website is a disaster for mega renters. I couldn’t imagine the mega renters of 2017 could operate under the current website.
Every time someone at Wyndham reads a post like yours they’re probably thinking the website is perfect for the average owner.
It’s inconvenient to many here on TUG but makes operating a very large rental operation miserable!! If not almost impossible!!
Owners with a handful of reservations don’t think anything about seeing 3 reservations at a time, points left ,etc.

As an average owner, my only beef is that under resort search, I'm used to typing the name of the resort and not the location and the financial section doesn't cover the price per thousand.
