Wyndham resort requires utility bill for transfer?

Just curious if anyone has run across this before?

It’s a tiny contract I am interested in adding- the other resale contracts I had picked up along the way required drivers license.

I am not sure I am completely comfortable with this new wrinkle…

Thoughts?

They need proof that the address you give them is legit. If you feel uncomfortable with that, for any reason, walk away.

So the address I gave is what’s on my Wyndham account already…is this Wyndham asking or the transfer company?

Is this through Timeshare Nation? I requested a free contract at Bali Hai and they asked me the same thing. It seems that requiring this information is dependent on the specific resort the contract would be with (according to TSN anyway)

Yup- but it’s for CWA points…

@BoomerKwanger - just curious if you already have a contract(s) with Wyndham?

@noreenkate Not yet. This would be my first contract w/ Wyndham (provided everything goes through) as well as my first time working with Timesharenation

I also had to provide the same thing to Timeshare Nation for CWA points. Even if you are already established with Wyndham, if It's your first time working with TN my guess is they want to have all their possible info together so they can get your request in ASAP, rather than waiting to confirm with Wyndham that you are already an owner. It's only a guess, but because of their first come, first serve nature it makes sense to have the same process for everyone regardless. I will admit, I was a little wary when first asked, but I understood why they would need to confirm our address so I was ok with it. I also really wanted these points and didn't want someone else to get them! Assuming all this goes through, these would be my first time owning points in any timeshare system.

Probably standard practice for them to always ask for it. You could push back and tell them your address is already on file with Wyndham. I’ve never had to supply it.

I gave them my Wyndham bill- which shows my address… Timshare nation is saying it’s their supplier requiring utility bill.

Not happy at all-

Not happy at all about it - thats far more information than needed. More than what’s required by Wyndham - i just see no good coming from it.
