What do you own that is limited to a 5 month reservation window? I thought the only time that applied was for regular members trying to book at Margaritaville resorts.

My answer actually varies dependent upon the type of points I'm using. As a hybrid VIP owner, I utilize my resale points for scheduling of larger rooms for family vacations, or even smaller rooms for just my wife and I during high/prime season, that are planned well in advance and therefore there's no reason to utilize developer points (unless I'm using Club Pass) - these reservations are typically made right at ten months out. For our developer points, I'll typically using these mostly within the discount window (i.e. within 60 days) to leverage our VIP discount and possible room upgrades, mostly for weekend getaway trips since we still both work full time. I'll also sometimes use our developer points for MVC reservations, which for VIPG I can go out as far as eight months in advance, or for Club Pass, in which case our VIP discounts don't apply and therefore I'll sometimes book using Club Pass if I cannot find availability on the Club Wyndham side within the discount window.

Typically, I book eight months or more before check-in. However, many Wyndham reservations are re-booked inside the discount/upgrade window. I don't have a percentage of such re-bookings.

We plan 1 hi point vacation at 9 months every year. Usually 2 trips at the 2 to 3 month range. And 1 at the 1 month range for quick get away.

Not only is it possible she lied, but definite. The standard reservation window is 10 months for any resort but the Margaritaville ones. It will be even farther out for certain resorts, depending on what you actually own.
