Glenn - too late!!! It sure looks to me like Wyndham is already making the 'distinction' between THEIR rented points and OUR rented (transferred) points. With that in mind, I would agree with Sandy - we need new terms and I propose, in agreement with Sandy - rented points and transferred points.
As to the question you raised about PIC points being transferred - below is a string of emails between myself and Deanne Gabel on this topic - read from the bottom up for the correct sequential order. And again - no other explanation of what/how/when the changes were made or any 'FairShare Plus governing documents' to back up the change that effected me in about a week's time (as in on Monday I could do it and on Friday I couldn't!!!!) I will also post this thread under the PIC section of the Forums.
I also believe this 'thread' about Wyndham changing rules/regs indiscriminately is 'too large' a topic to be buried here (rental points in credit pool) and will post this thread in Owner's Den - Wyn/FF Points Ownership Forum where more owners might see it. Kendra

Continuing a discussion of what the directory says - On page 312 it states "These (PIC) points combine with your regular FairShare Plus points for even more vacation options!" I know they can't be used to pay maintenance fees, placed in the Credit Pool or used to make a ARP reservation but there is no written restriction that they can't be transferred.
Before July 15, 2006 and up until a few weeks ago I have had no difficulty in transferring PIC points. Would you consider an 'exception' to this rule until it can be more clearly defined in the next directory? I have committed points to a nonVIP who has already paid and I would have transferred the points to her weeks ago if I weren't having so many delays with RCI crediting me with the proper deposits.
I do not believe that many members will be/are affected by this particular rule and you might consider including PIC points to be transferable as it will make less work for the Wyndham VCs. If PIC points can't be transferred, then VCs will make guest reservations using VIP Platinum benefits for those who 'rent' the points from those of us who provide them. This would require a heavier workload for your VCs and, or course, me as of the 'rentees'.

Somebody is posting on the yahoo group that they want to rent Wyn points and can make arrangements to transfer cancelled and/or limited points. If those can be transferred, why not PICs?
