I haven't been able to access the Wyndham/RCI portal and it's been a couple of weeks since I had Wyndham website access. I called up Wyndham and was able to get my RCI weeks account # and set up that account, but no luck with the Wyndham portal.

So, I was wondering if I actually have to deposit some points in RCI so that I can see inventory. The way that the sign-on screen reads is something like if you don't have enough points you can then transfer points.

I wasn't sure if it's a point issue or if I just have to keep calling Wyndham. I'm sure if I call that they will tell me it's just not enough time :wall:

No deposit of points necessary. Even with no deposits, you can go into the RCI portal and poke around and see what's available and how many points it would take. I don't think time has much to do with it. If they set it up, I'd think you'd be able to access it. In any event, a call is in order.

Have to Tried calling RCI? The same thing happened to me when I got my first contract. I probably made 10 to 12 phone calls before it was working for me. There are three places to call. Wyndham which you have already called. There the RCI portal people at 1-800-572-0931. And there is RCI Weeks at 1-800-338-7777. I would start with the RCI portal people.

Be persistent, keep calling, and don't get mad to the people on the phone. If you get someone who is not being helpful, just hang up and call back. You'll get someone else.

I was thinking that I didn't need a deposit, but just wasn't sure! I'll definitely call them this week!

Yes, I actually followed your advice in another thread and called the RCI portal people and kindly asked for my RCI weeks account # and was able to set that up with no problem. They said, at the time, that the portal can take 6-8 weeks. I guess I'm just being impatient and don't understand why I can have Wyndham access, RCI weeks access, but just not the portal.

I'm waiting for a transfer to go through so I can deposit a week into my RCI account, so right now all I can see in RCI are Last Calls and Rentals. Although I did find two weeks during the recent sale. I was hoping to look at inventory through the portal. I'll call the portal people again tomorrow and ask nicely about the status. Thanks!!!

Sounds like your doing everything right. They told me the 6-8 week thing too. I just ignored that and kept calling and I finally got someone that fixed it.

Those RCI last calls and RCI sales are great aren't they.

Good luck,

Mark

Still waiting on RCI acct also??

I have had my resale purchases (up to 4 now) some going back to June. I still don't have the RCI acct set-up:confused:

I was able to gain access to Wyndham site before I received letter in the mail, but still not luck on the RCI acct.

*Wyndham originally set-up 2 acct numbers, which the rep said that it would have just resulted in 2 RCI accts, but I have nothing. As of last week, they consolidated all my accts into 1. I found this out by logging into the acct.

*I call each month. The call yesterday was to give them to this Friday and call back that she would put a rush on it.

**Interesting that while I was in Panama beach the on-site Wyndham membership rep tried to say I would not get an RCI acct without paying for it separately?? No one from Wyndham 800# has said this, but nothing is happening either.

What can I do? Am I talking to the right people/departments??
- I had previously call RCI and they indicated that the set up had to come from Wyndham.

Note: When I click on the RCI link from the ClubWyndham site, I allows me to accept the terms and it give me an error message.

HELP!

I don't know if this is relevant at all, but sometimes when I try to get into the Wyndham RCI portal on Internet Explorer, it will not let me go down far enough on the screen to click yes on the "terms and conditions", so I cannot go through. I have had more success using Chrome as my browser.

I am using firefox. Wyndham member services has told me that they don't see the RCI number yet on my acct so I am just trying to make sure I am talking to the right department that can really fix the issue.

When you deposit a week from a non Wyndham resort it works a little differently. You'll access the RCI directly at RCI.com to manage your weeks account. You only access RCI through the Wyndham portal to manage the use of Wyndham points that you have or may want to deposit.

They both work similarly but they each use a different currency. On the weeks side is where you use TPU's and thru the Wyndham portal is where you use Wyndham points.

So when you call, clarify that you need to deposit a week and make sure you can access RCI directly as well. Hope that all makes sense.

Called Wyndham/RCI this morning and they don't know what the problem is and everything looks like it should be working. They had me talk to a web specialist who noticed that my account was missing some leading zeros, so he added those and said that "maybe" that should work, but that it will take another day to know.

Why do I have the distinct feeling that this won't be resolved tomorrow?
